While it is true that the MDL ratings are not the official ratings, but MDL is a way to help promote various Asian dramas to international audiences. I discovered him quite late, in TTEOTM. Thought that he was gorgeous eye candy who made me cry a river for him in TTEOTM EP 29 prison scene goodbye. YES! He was so good, building up the character till that point in time. Dang, my tears just flowed for his XiaoLin character. Episode 29, etched in my mind. LOL
And then I happened to watch LYF because I thought the story looked interesting, not because Weiwei was in it at that point in time. BOOM!!! He swept me off my feet with his portrayal of Tushan Jing. 🤩🦊 The rest is history. Weiwei has been staying rent free in my head since then. 🤪🥰
Weiwei's portrayal of his Divine Tree character SYS was no exception. Well portrayed! Entire cast blended well together and kept me glued to the screen. Yes, DT is indeed a masterpiece!
