no one blaming acting or cinematography just story have lot of useless things like Kuea, lady ueang, lady aon,…
but kuea, lady ueang and the others are not useless, they are there to show conflicts that happen especially at a time where aranged marriage was a thing and women had little to say on who they married to. Kuea is there for this and the other ladies are there as potential love interests like it happens in all dramas.
Oh how much i loved Ep07, their farewell, the letters being brought to life showing their longing and the love they feel so strongly for each other, it was just so beautiful.
Since Ep06 it's been showing the reasons that will tear Anil and Pin apart, they've be dropping bits and pieces in some scenes, like the one Pin comes back from the Pine Palace and aunt Pat reminds her that they are there to serve the Sawettawarit's and Pin should be careful not to impose herself, or the scene where the brother, his wife and aunt Pad are having a meal and Pin is there serving them and Anil's potential suitors and marriage and brought in the conversation and her brother is clear in saying that his sister is only fit to wed someone from the same social rank or higher.
On Ep07 this issue about their status is highlighted once again when Anins brother chases aways her suitor stressing the social class one more time, and when Pin sees who is the fiance of Anin's other brother and she says to Prik that she herself is only a Kasidit a family of lower rank, even though Prik says Anil doesnt care its obvious that the problem lies in what their family members consider suitable or not. In almost every scene Pin and her aunt are seeing serving the royal family and their guests, that's the position they occupy. And that's exactly what later on will play a part on bring them apart.
On a sweet note I really enjoyed the scene where aunt Pad gifts Pin a car and says she is like a daughter, she really loves her even though she will make terrible decisions for her niece in the future.
Pin blatantly rejecting Kuea was so satisfying to watch as well as Anin stablishing a line with the ambassador's daughter.
I liked so much seeing Pin entering her adulthood having a job and even helping her friend who is unemployed.
I really enjoyed this episode its one of my favorites so far.
