everything changed and got better for everyone else but jean (jean's trauma literally cannot be fixed by anyone but since this is a scifi show and time traveling is a thing...) and alex had nothing to do with any of those things. these characters worked on their own issues and "fixed" things for themselves. we don't even NEED alex to be the "issue fixer", the one who "changes" things for others. why are yall bending over backwards to defend alex when it's so easy to realize - if you thought about it a little bit - that he's not a good guy??? just because he's the main character doesn't mean he's automatically a great and likeable guy. he gets to go back to "fix his mistakes" and therefore doesn't actually face any of the consequences that came with doing said mistakes. he just does the opposite of what he did the first time around to avoid having the same results, and gets to live happily ever after. and what you said about alex not being aware that jean wasn't willing in the end, how could that be true? what would alex be apologizing for, then? for sleeping together?? i just don't get what you're saying

and you're not addressing anything i said at all. and please do enlighten me, what is the premise of the show, what is the point? learning from your mistakes? they could have done that exact same thing without sending alex back and having the show end in such a questionable manner

of course i would like to go back and fix my mistakes, i think anyone would. trust me, i am not angry or bitter because a fictional character got to fix his mistakes, i'm angry because of the way this show handled things. you can and you should learn from your mistakes but alex could have done that without going back to the past. it makes my skin crawl when i think about how jean has no idea what alex did in this another "reality" or whatever, but alex fully knows. and he goes after the girl and gets her. and he did repeat his mistakes as soon as he went back, he made things bad again (this time in a different way tho) for almost every single one of his friends but somehow it ended up working out in the friends' favor so whatever i guess.

oh i watched the show, and i really liked it at first. but the way they handled things in the end was not it. it doesn't freak any of yall out that alex is dating jean with the full knowledge of what he did?? while she has no idea? (yes, it happened in another reality or whatever you wanna call it but it still HAPPENED.) and yes, he is unlikeable. anyone who SA's another person is automatically dead to me. BUT in addition to that, he goes around fixing other people's problems, which he basically caused in the first place, and gets to act like a knight in shining armor, everyone's savior? like he has the answers and solutions for everything? and then he goes after jean again and again after she's made it clear she does not want to be around him. it's insufferable to watch
i hated that ending. alex should have been forced to stay in the future and live with the guilt of what he did for the rest of his life. he ruined a girl's life and now he gets to go back in time with full consciousness of what he did AND get the girl?? whose life he ruined in "another reality"?? im sorry but this show really pissed me off and alex is the most unlikeable character i've ever encountered in a drama
i don't think anything compares to bad buddy but i'm losing my mind over this show just like i did with bad buddy so i'd say it's definitely worth the watch
