The scene when ML discovered the time traveling car was missing came first before we saw him walking in front of the house (with glasses on)...also if he has poor eyesight, then he should be wearing eyeglasses especially when driving at night, but we saw that when he got out of the car he wasnt wearing any.

Or he could be pretending to have poor eyesight.
