so the girl with the butterfly tattoo is han hui? i only watched til ep 6 but i saw a teaser somewhere

so main guy doesn't look like a fragile skinny teen and the dub is not cringy. i promised myself never watch another cdrama full of same old tropes (rich man poor woman, clumsy girl being introduced with a ridiculous fall, unnecessary love triangles) and poor editing but i just pressed the play button for episode 2 and im not even sorry >< ill just see how far i can go

so episode 2 was a filler? yes BUT some ppl are still having a hard time to adapt to the scifi aspect of the drama so let's try to understand the writers a little bit. episode 1 was full parallel universe, time travel, kids crying, murders, lots of names (im actually still confused about that guy they found dead in the car), lots of characters, also the lights are too bright and it gets a bit distracting etc etc i think is just fair to cool down a tiny bit so they wont lose the majority of the audience. and im not calling ppl dumb, is just that i think its ok to be overwhelmed by the 1st episode. anyways there's only one thing id like to ask since i never watched lee min ho before. his character is not helping him a lot, right?

someone has a theory here in the comments (look for a spoiler tagged comment) and i 100% agree with this person that its yi gon himself coming back in time. its an awesome theory but it wasn't solved in the drama yet

hes the son of yigon's father's best friend. actually he said it :v but who knows. also that guy talking to the ahjumma when yi gon is mourning seems to be his father.

2 worlds. in 1994, yi gons father was killed by yi gons uncle (the then emperors half brother). yi gon saw it, his uncle try to kill him too. yi gon became emperor. he was saved by someone and he kept the police badge. uncle stole the power flute. because the flute is broken a portal is opened, he enters the portal and travels to a parallel world. in parallel world he kills his entire family including him. in his original world he appears to be dead. his minion is now living in the countryside, then more than 10 years pass and uncle come back. so yi gon is the emperor, his best friend is his guard. he has traumas and wants to meet the girl from the badge who he thinks saved him. trying to find her, he follows a girl in a rabbit sweater as suggested by the little girl. then he too enters the portal for the parallel world and coincidentally finds her. the rest is unknown and theory.

it's a parallel world and korea is like united kingdom living a parliamentary/monarchy (yi gon is the emperor and that girl in red dress is the prime minister). theyre not ancient since his father was killed in 1994... and it's a fiction fiction, i think you'll really need to escape from reality watching this one. about the rabbit ge probably tried to chase her bc he wants to find the person he thinks saved him since he has the police badge.
