Oh same, I usually skip popular dramas, lol Twinkling Watermelon I watch it while air bec of Seol Inah but honestly it was a 8/10 for me, Crash Landing on you eventho people went crazy over it i loed 2nd couple more lol so it was also a 8/10 and waited until it ends, with Lovely Runner since it wasn't a popular drama and Im a fan of Hyeyoon I was anticipating but due to all the production issues,n the change of directors they couldn't find a male lead etc. it peak my attention and i think they found the right Male lead in BWS which I was so not convinced until I watched first two episodes I obsessing abou this drama and again it wasn't meant to be popular it just organically became.
And I loooooooooved Princess Go and Oh My General, not everyone that watches Kdramas would understand the humor in this cdramas I do lol both I finish them they were so much fun.

yes that's true, but like me Im in the USA I watch through Viki and it is a drama aim to all ages but specially to younger people that would watch online rather than wait for a drama to air at a certain time also is on mondays all the ahjummas are busy lol Im an ahjumma but i make sure to come from work to watch it with my pre-teen daughter

OMG i just tweet that to TVN and CJEnt to make a pop up store of the drama like the one they are doing in Seoul in both Korea Town in LA and in NY, Ive been to both and those pop up store work out so well imagine with the actors that would be awesome...Im in the NY area but also been to LA so I know there is a lot of underground Korean drama following in the USA I also been an avid fan for 14 years....

Silly comedy can surprise us with the right cast, also Im thinking it will be something like 21 jumpstreet series with Johnny Depp in the 80's so they might be comedy but thrilling cases crime etc.

this is a remake of 21 jumpstreet, johnny depp was 25 or 26 while he pretended to be a high schooler there are 35 year old korean actors playing HS pleeeeeeeeeease SKJ is 29 or 30....he will do good, Byeon Woo Seok looks fine as HS and he is 32 also he does good in any kind of role tho

For me that's fine, decent ratings for a Mon-Tues drama with no commercial support, this drama is an online sensation which means is not about live ratings, but #1 on viki global and 91% viewership in the entire TVN online App, anyways no one thought this was going to be loved by so many and become an international sensation there is not even commercial placements in the entire 14 episodes I have watched..... their popularity is based on us Subeoms to our SolSeon's couple!

But no one talks about that in the feed news here because it is not a sponsored drama No one saw it coming the popularity on how the characters and main leads charisma was going to take the internet by storm, the drama up to episode 14 has no commercial placements AT all because this was the underdog for TVN and CJEnt, and now All of the actors even the villain taxi driver popularity in IG is soaring, the drama actors and characters even in Korean #선재업고튀어 has been trending for weeks non stop in X (twitter) and branding names for all 4 main leads on top 10, BWS joining Weverse collapsed the web app, people are making lines to get to the pop up store in Seoul like they going to a kpop concert, the 1000 tickets for the live view with WooSeok, HyeYoon and GeonHee next week of the last 2 episodes crashed the website in 2 hours and sold out within hours, and not only that I saw GeonHee prompting the fans on his bubble live not to buy the tickets reselling them at astronomical amount of money he said shiro shiro bec the sold them at a average amount of money so fans could join them ,,, the popularity has its core and I really I don't talk about the online ratings in Korea it is the #1 drama watched on Viki Global, and at 91% most watched on TVN cable app which means this drama popularity comes for real Subeoms to their SolSeon's couple if you are a Lovely Runner fan you know what I meant!!!!!!!!!!

PS: This coming from an ahjumma from New Jersey watching dramas for over 15 years all genres, all kind of actors, from all countries, I just love this kind of dramas and become so popular against all the odds. This drama faced 3 years of production and finally made it. and Im so grateful for giving us this experience on screen and behind the screen.

Well its nice to know your insights about dramas you haven't watched based on the trailers lol but I usually watched one or two episodes the most to know whether I like a drama or not, I don't based my taste in dramas on popularity, i tried QOT up to episode 3 and I dropped it didn't like it, The atypical family another talked about drama I watched 2 episodes I dropped it too, and many more, from the above only one I love and I wait mondays to come (something unusual) is Lovely Runner, it just hits all my spots of my drama addiction of 15 years and over 300 asian dramas watched.....

Oh I think the same about other dramas, but to each its own each drama has its own following no need to disregard the popularity or the like of a full fandom
