I cried for Moo Yeon and the Crown Princess, they have no choice. The only stupid thing was that the Crown Prince…
I was wondering the same thing..about why would the crown prince not assist them.. but then he did say "I would not kill her brother with my own hands" (or something like that), so I imagined that he was hoping they get away, but if not, he would not mind much them getting killed...they did both betray him..
I just have to say that that's what's good with the writers on this drama..they created good characters with many sides..humans..not flat, like other dramas..so they give us space to wonder about the choices and motives..
do not get tricked from the 8.9 rating...Yes it's very entertaining and the main couple is cute and hot at the same time but the plot...omooo...SO confusing... and like someone said in a comment about the first 2 ep. it feels like "the writers are joking with this drama" ...they're having too much fun writing this... which I'm fine with as long as I don't take it too seriously either! I'm gonna "have my fun" with the romance part ;) and kinda ignore the plot (not in a harsh way) :p
I have watch the jdrama and kdrama version...and now I'm on 8 episode of this(Meteor Garden 2018).. -I like most of the changes like : how she's not to-die-poor like the other 2, that they replaced her brother with a best friend(cause he can be more of an emotional support and also hang out with them all), the back story for Lei&Jing, that they didn't make Li Zhen a total psycho, also the fact that they are in college and not high school.. -as you said the Si character is much better without the violence(and the totally cringe-worthy shoes) -the actor for Lei/second lead is cuter than the others..I love Oguri but he wasn't high-schooler/cute-second-lead material, so you can't get into the whole second lead syndrome at first sight..he had to put too much work on it..but with this actor I think he fits more into the role..(the Korean actor for the role was just a weird/awkward face for me) -I also like the 4th point you made about the drama that comes but in 1 or 2 ep is over..but there are 49 ep..I was really wondering, will they add stuff or only situations the other versions have just stretched??Does it keep you interested??
And finally the DUBBING ...I long have wanted to ask this..why?? Why do they dub cdramas and why do they already have subs in (I'm guessing) Chinese??
actually, the rating of this series on MDL is not low and quite high, because the rating in IMDB is only 7.1
1st I don't trust imdb for Asian drama because someone who doesn't know anything about the genre can vote..that's why i like MDL or MAL(anime)..because people who have accounts there have given their time to these specific genres.. 2nd I respect your opinion..I'm a fan of romance, so I loved both..it's totally okay to be picky..I mean they both are over 50 ep each..so it's understandable! it's just, personally I watched first AOL and after TMOPB so the story of TMOPB felt familiar..but both have, for me, a different feeling if you look the whole picture from afar..

It was my first cdrama so I had really low expectations..but from the music to the cg and cinematography all were kind of magical for me..and of course the out-of-this-world romance drew me most of all cause, what can I do, I'm a hopelessly romantic :p

other seem to not think that from the comments below, but in my opinion it is on the same level..it's just the characters are more youthful as a main difference..so it's up to you whether you'll like that or not..
I was fangirling real hard as a Bleach anime fan.. Sota was pretty great for the role of Ichigo!! I had a major b*ner(excuse me for the expression) with the Renji-Ichigo fight scene... and because my fav character is Byakuya I think in the live action he gave more of a gang leader vibe than a high class "aristocrat" looking down on everyone that was in the anime! But that's ok! Also the whole Ichigo-Rukia relationship was kinda not-so-platonic and easily misunderstood, but I mean the chemistry between Sota and Hana was way better than orihime so I liked it..and when Renji was all jealous....... <3
Feelings for a robot...I'm so not going through this emotional confusion and distress again..after "Are you human too?", which I enjoyed, but it took a lot to accept that she fell for a robot......
ok, so this is my second time watching chinese historical drama. The first one was Ashes of Love. And I totally…
I also loved this and Ashes of Love and I gotta say I haven't found anything THIS good.. But some levels lower and also worth a watch is the other "Eternal Love", "Legend of Yun Xi" and "Legend of Fu Yao"..
Well...everyone comments on whether the ending is good or not..and I'm sitting here by myself..watched the 2 first episodes..took a 3 week break..and then persuaded myself that with this high rating it must get better along the way...so I watched one more episode..and remembered why I needed the break in the first place... All the "you will die a slow and painful death and you will drag me with you to the grave" all the time, is not very alluring.. I'll keep watching with the hope wan mei will become a bad ass and kill everyone on this mountain!
why Kiritani always plays cringy characters? Like in the first scene I was so sure she would wake up from a dream...but NO..it had to be real..... :p BTW I enjoyed this movie along with all her other projects that I have watched no matter how cringy..

I have never ever rewatched a drama..this I'll definitely rewatch!
