After all that chaos in Epi 8 about identity theft, murder, full psycho meltdown, episode 9 just… hits the brakes…
Woo-seok's personality really went downhill, with poor writing and even poorer execution. He seemed a tough former detective and rough insurance investigator. However, no traits of the detective/investigator remain, unless the "Siren's Kiss" myth effect applies, in which case there would be a seductive woman who would make every man fall for her and eventually die! Indeed, this ain't a slow-burning romance drama that I am watching, though I don't mind a little romance. Right now, it's felt more like 'an obsession and a protection' on a roller coaster ride from his side.
Liked - "But here’s the thing, every time she drops the act for a second? That’s when she’s interesting. When she rips up those resignation papers? When she tells the detective “do your job”? THAT is the woman I want." Exactly, that moment would make the audience believe that she is the real Siren. But I feel like the revelation would be overwhelming because until now, I couldn't figure out what her gain would be from all those murders. There hasn't been shown any kind of 'childhood connection' with those murder victims, which is sooooo favorite plot of every Krdamas writers!! In the end, we will see that she ain't the mastermind behind all these events that are currently going on.
Is there any sympathetic character left in the show? Perhaps the ML? In my opinion, they have dumbed him down…
"so overblown with the constant streak of unlucky events that she appears very unrealistic at this point." - No, with due respect, "the constant streak of unlucky events" - happens, happening - You can take me as for another example of continuous unlucky events!!
juyeong is really a bad cop .... she fired with her gun at hanseola , who was unarmed , moving really slowly and…
"Incompetence on Debt" - that's how the cops work in this drama! The female cop's action was clearly attempted murder fueled by jealousy, but her senior let her off the hook with, "you went by the book." It's great that the ML left that team after his sister's death/murder; otherwise, solving cases would have been a ''full-time job carrying everyone else's incompetence'' on his shoulder.
your expectation for her acting is funny. like the drama told the audience clear enough that this woman is severely…
I agree with PMY's portrayal; no complaints here. I understand trauma and what it's like to be traumatized. I've carried this trauma for over 20 years and haven't moved on. It has made me expressionless and emotionless, and I often fake a smile. She is doing FINE with her character.
This episode really said, “enough foreplay, let’s ruin lives,” and honestly, finallyyy.Because that reveal…
Fantabulous brief of the Epi 8!! I lost my words on how to put your intellect in such writing. Liked & Every Loser's problem after rejection - “I want to make you mine again”? Sir, she is not a lost AirPod. "
See I'm right, he's Suho 💀 but I think the real killer is the childhood friend?
I struggled to accept he was Suho, while you can fake a face with surgery in dramas, you can't fake biometrics. But, the biometrics issue was resolved in this episode, and I'm in a state of jaw-dropping disbelief because, in K-dramas, the obvious suspect is usually a red herring, though turned out that he was not the killer but definitely a stalker number 3!
