ugh, feel u, being a fan of both is sooo hard, their works keep being delayed, like being a hero that was filmed in 2020 and wasn't released until recently, happily I also have other faves like Yang Yang, Leo Luo, Reba, Gong Jun, etc that make me suffer less and quench my drama thirst :(

I had left the series on hold until all eps aired and now I come back and the score has dropped to 8.1? was the ending so bad? I'm quite late and I'm not loving the series but I think it's good enough and intriguing plus Yibo looks gorgeous in every frame and Chen Xiao's acting is very convincing, his character is so pitiful :(

finally found the novel with a decent translation and it's quite long but the drama will only have 36 eps? hope it's enough or they should make a 2nd season (altho that would be dreaming too high lol), and since I don't know when this drama will see the light of day, I think I better start reading now, most bl novels have good and interesting plots so I've high expectations in this one

Even with the great love that I hold for this drama, I accept that is far from being a masterpiece, the book probably is since it's the original story without all those changes n censorship, if u are almost halfway through, I assume that by ep 24 or 25, is when the sad and angsty moments start (again), I would tell u to continue until the flashbacks ends at ep 33 since then it continues with the present time which is kinda slow n draggy, but still has some emotional n interesting moments
