I know that Our Blooming Youth is slow. I have been watching it with so much patience that's why I hope this one doesn't end up like that. OBY started off with so much promise. Not that I hate it but I am forced to speed it up because of the pace.

Ep 2 was better but 1 started off slow. Got better towards the end. lol. I do like my dramas fast. I've heard of people even watching dramas at 3x. I'm still watching this at 1x.
Ep 1 felt slow. The most exciting moment was when he was actually arguing the case in front of the "judge". Hoping for more such arguments in episode 2.
The most frustrating part of episode 11 was the police letting the doctor go because they have no proof when they have the VICTIM telling them he attempted to murder him. At the very least they could have got a warrant to search his property or get his phone for evidence and detain him longer.

It gives them hope that they will end up surviving this and things will return to normal. If they cancelled the exams, that would make them freak out because it would mean the threat is massive and they might not make it out alive.
It's also a bargaining point for the soldiers to make the students fight which they would otherwise not be inclined towards.
this is so frustrating to watch cause some of them are so bloody stupid. Like in ep 3 when they are supposed to…
It's because of the fright or flight response. She was literally frozen in fear. Her brain would not function. She just wanted to escape the reality she was in hence wanting to see her mother. Extreme stress can make you do things that seem foolish in otherwise normal situations.
The deposed crown prince who the current king wants located and probably killed because he wants to stay in power.…
I don't think they have explained it properly in the show except for showing the family on the run. Probably what you said about the prince having a strong claim to the throne is true. Maybe they weren't father and son but step-brothers which is why he is now desperate for his own son.
