People on this site are not obsessed with the couple's looks, hence the reason this show is not scoring a 9-10…
I don't particularly find the MLs of either show that attractive personally. But I think both FLs are beautiful. Not that the story of Atypical Family isn't interesting but the characters aren't made likeable so there is more to critique unlike Lovely Runner's characters. Lovely Runner is quite interesting with a faster pace IMO even if the plot isn't unique.

As for rating shows, so many people have also rated TAF 9.5 and 10 stars after 1 episode. It may be unfair but this happens for every drama on MDL. Similarly people have their own reasons for rating shows low. LR has almost concluded so naturally there is more excitement around it. TAF hasn't crossed the halfway mark with the story moving at a slower pace and much to be revealed. But most of us can also tell where the story is headed. It more about the journey and hopefully the ending is done well. So many popular shows also get bad reviews later because the ending is messed up so until a show is concluded we can't really say which is better.

Of course individual choice always comes into play for every series whether we like it or not. You can always get more people interested in a show by recommending it to others.

Also not actually confirmed that the second child was not Gwi Jo's child or not as far as he is concerned he believes…
I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds the cheating allegation hard to believe. Gwi Jo's mother could have been simply trying to make her son move on. It makes no sense that his wife cheated and wanted to leave him but still wanted the 3 of them to be together as a last chance for her husband. As soon as she knew she was pregnant with someone else's child, she would have enough reason to leave as there would be no going back from that.

Ina probably blames herself also because of the conversation she overheard. They might reveal the cause of the accident only later after the ML and FL fall in love/confess their love since they are endgame.

I am so worried about Ina. She wants a friend so desperately that she doesn't realise she is being used. And I had hope that the other girl was genuinely being nice to her. Ina's dad is so lost in his own obsession (as is the rest of the family), they have no idea what is going on with the poor child. Can't believe the grandmother didn't once dream of her own granddaughter. Guess this is where the FL's redemption story will come from - protecting Ina.

At the moment, the ML is pissing me off more than the FL's lies. He is so obsessed with changing the past and saving someone in the past, he is ignoring his daughter in the present just like he ignored his wife.

1. Mom won't lie about powers because she holds them in highest regard. Now, what she dreamt may not be how she…
Your inability to have a disagreement without name-calling is pathetic and speaks to your character. You are obsessed about defending fictional characters as if it is a personal victory.

I'm glad the FL slapped the ML because she was clearly offended when she realised the same thing I concluded that he was out of line. Now bug off.

Maybe that psychopath kid is the murder in present time
That's possible but not necessary. I believe they already know what the killer looks like. They just keep missing him so they need to predict his movement.

Note that I haven't had a chance to see the last 2 episodes yet.

I understand why the FL acted the way she did. Technically she never had a relationship. Also, she was scared that anyone who comes to learn about her powers would shun her so she kept her distance instead. She rejected him before he could reject her so to speak.
The ML however kept pushing boundaries. If this wasn't a romance drama, some of his behaviour would be stalkerish. He was sincere but because she couldn't understand his inner thoughts, she was apprehensive.
I actually felt bad for the SML because he actually respected her boundaries and that's why he missed his chance of telling her how he really feels. He was always considerate towards her till the end.

I liked the show but few things were never explained. Why did she suddenly gain that power? How did the professor know about the FL's power and how did he know the dad besides being on the boat? What was the part about the thunder and turtle? The subs were poor.

I don't know why one person's experience became fact.

I miss the comedy. Otherwise its a nice series. A good pick of cases. Hard to believe that just 2 more episodes are left. I wonder if they will include the wrapping up of the murder case in present time as well.

The series is also reminiscent of Taxi Driver so if you liked that show, you'll probably enjoy Lee Je Hoon and team in this as well.

1. Mom won't lie about powers because she holds them in highest regard. Now, what she dreamt may not be how she…
And you have no insight into the reality faced by women or even South Korean women.

Use a translation service and read this article:
https://news.mt.co.kr/mtview.php?no=2024051322111862586&VN

TL;DR - 138 women in South Korea were murdered by men after breaking up with them. Nearly 14,000 women experience violence in relationships with men.

According to a 2021 article, in SK, a woman is killed or nearly killed by a man they were in a close relationship with every 1.6 days.

Since a lot of these dramas are catered towards women, it is important for women (and men) especially young women to learn about consent and healthy relationships even in small ways. Though this drama is not attempting to depict a violent man, in real life men will constantly test a woman's boundary before the relationship becomes controlling and abusive. So I dislike these problematic "grey area" behaviour depictions as well.

Yes the crash doesn't seem like it would have been a suicide but they seemed to suggest it. They will probably reveal more later and I'm sure Ina can elaborate. Waiting for those details.

Nonsense. Consent is important. Just because it's a drama doesn't make it acceptable. You might be OK with it if done to you. However, even if I liked someone I would not want to be kissed out of the blue especially by someone who doesn't like me back. This is the kind of rubbish I expect in US/UK dramas and its why I don't watch them anymore.

On one hand you say she dreamt of the daughter in law and now you're making leaps to say she didnt dream anything "meaningful". So cheating isn't meaningful enough to tell her son as soon as she found out? You should also wait and watch to make sure the mother isn't making this up or if this is just a terrible plot hole. :)

And you need to mark your responses as spoilers as courtesy to others who may not have seen the latest episode.

Recommendations for kdramas with a similar vibe to watch while I wait for all the eps to be released? Looking…
I would say the kdrama Tomorrow With You has the most similar vibe - both related to a ML time traveller, connections and wanting to save someone.

How are people straight up saying they find more interest in the kid’s story…. What’s so interesting about…
I find her power the most intriguing. There is a reason why she hates reading minds. Maybe because she read her mom's mind before her demise.

1. Mom won't lie about powers because she holds them in highest regard. Now, what she dreamt may not be how she…
If the mother said she NEVER dreamt of her daughter-in-law, how did she know she was cheating on her son? And until the previous episode, they were hinting at the accident being a suicide. So she knew she was pregnant but gave her husband a last chance even though she had already decided to leave him and when he disappeared she decided to die instead? This whole aspect of the story feels like a plot hole. Or purposely set up by the writers to demonise the wife he loved so much so that we accept the "fated love" plot. Just not buying the cheating story.

Him kissing her when he claims to have no feelings for her feels iffy. There are better ways to see if he can fall in love with her like going on an actual date. Why is he in a rush? Even Da Hye was taken aback but since she has to trap him she didn't push him away. The worst set up I could ever imagine.

Her signature move is telling the men they look like the guy that saved her.
Ah. Thanks.

Enjoyed this episode but a few things ifked me as well.
They didn't want us to wish Gwi Ju could save his wife so they turned her into a cheater? He clearly thought it could have been his child means they might have been having normal relations? In any case, he was the one who had been neglecting his wife and daughter. And if she was cheating and planning to leave, she wouldn't have given him an ultimatum. She would have just left. I don't buy the cheating story. The mother could have been lying as she didn't like his wife.
What is Do Da Hye's signature move? Pretending she is scared of fire? Or damsel in distress mode? Da Hye mentioned that ahe didn't want to use it anymore.
I hate that the ML is so easily manipulated. I get that he is curious about their connection but kissing her when you don't even like her felt so weird. Almost creepy and non-consensual on his part. Didn't like that at all.
Ina and DongHee's superpowers are unrelated to Do Da Hye so why is the mother only dreaming of her?

I agree with you, i would like him to save his wife, but this won't happen
Yes, doesn't seem likely which is a shame because the wife deserved better.
