I wouldn't be surprised that the writer added Bidulgi couple breakup. Jun wan was always dating someone throughout his whole life. He also started his relationship with Ik Sun only after breaking up someone else. He feels alone easily so he always wanted someone to share his life with, which Ik Sun fails to do so at first. But luckily as this is a drama they get back together.
As for IkSong couple they are just too involved with other matters. Well to begin with Ik Jun is a newly single dad and he wouldn't have wanted Uju to feel burned by his love life. (May have been). And Song Hwa is already busy with her life. I was so surprised by the Song Hwa's denial to Ik Jun's confession. May be she needed some reassurance that her 22 year old crush / friendship is worth it and it will make both of them happy. I guess Looney's advice made her realize that. I should appreciate Ik Jun's patience. He was so patient with Song Hwa throughout the whole drama.
The drama was so good. I loved the concept of psychopath genes. and the plot twist/s.
But it would have been better if they shorted the drama a bit. I felt like the first 5 and the last 5ish episodes had the most impact. But without the middle episodes you won't understand the drama.
It's also helpful to watch the 2 episodes of "Mouse: The Predator" after 15th episode even though you can skip most of it.
The drama mostly revolves around the 2 male leads. So there isn't that many romantic or bromantic scenes in the drama. The drama is mostly about the crimes, murders and serial killer/s.

Bong Yi is just a high school girl who have a huge crush/ love towards her neighborhood handsome man Ba Reum. But Ba Reum is a two faced serial killer who wants to use Bong Yi to give birth to his offspring. He obviously didn't love Bong Yi. But the accident in ep 5 causes Jung Ba Reum to lose his memory. So he begins to develop sincere feelings for Bong Yi during a period of 1 year or so. But they didn't get any chance to bond with each other as they were buy chasing serial killers and other stuff. So at the end I was okay with them being a little awkward at first as this drama is not in romance genre.
