I don't think it was coerced. Minjae agreed to date in his own accord. Man is in his 30s he can decide on his own. If he didn't want to be in a relationship he should've declined Youjin even if she confesses a million times. The truth is he's also attracted to her.

To me, it's not actually about the ML age, it is the FL age, she is 25 and much younger than him and that is why she is acting so immature and controlling and I'm also annoyed she acts that way.
