from what I managed to find JittiRain is just a screenwriter for this one. There is no novel as of yet. I even searched using the title in Thai and nothing came up coz I wanted to know too if there is a novel or not. but looks like there isn't

it might be one of the reasons but considering everything that happened to Timmy and whatnot i think the main reason why the show got banned in ch is the gay content

i'd suggest watching this show. but it's not exactly the same as stay with me hahaha i think stay with me will have a lot less problematic and a bit toxic scenes than this one but Timmy's and Johnny's chemistry in the Addicted is out of this world...
the addicted book is very toxic to say the least hahaha but it's interesting and entertaining story
I'd say go watch both shows, I was not disappointed by either of those

in my opinion, this is not as toxic as TharnType for example, but it's not untoxic either? hahahaha considering I've read the first book and I'm half way through the second book, what we see in the 15 episodes that aired is not too toxic.
Gu Hai's main problem is his jealously and more often than not he acts impulsive without thinking about the consequences.
Sadly Gu Hai shows he doesn't care about consent

The show has some descent comedy, wonderful acting and the chemistry is out of this word.
I would warmly suggest you to watch it

From what I've seen so far in stay with me, it's similar yet very different show to this one... i think a lot of toxicity will be taken out of the show with removing the ex girlfriend from Su Yu - if im not mistaken Su Yu has never had a gf in stay with me (the ex in Addicted makes her full appearance in the book not in the show so much)
