So I guess physical punishment at school is still allowed in south korea, but is it really allowed to hit students…
I think it was abolished. It was acceptable AND legal in my home country until this Millenium. But they use the excuses like “the student is being disrespectful” to beat him up.
It’s *not* based of a true story. Kim Eun-sook said that the inspiration came from her daughter that was about…
Brutal school violence is fierce in Korea. When watching the series I was like “if I was Korean, the only way for me to have children would be if I was rich or from an influential family. That would be the only way to prevent my kid from suffering.” You can’t prevent someone from becoming a victim, but you can prevent someone from becoming the perpetrator.
We’ll see in part II what his relationship with Sohee
You know that “relationship” implies much more than a romantic one? A relationship can also imply platonic, acquaintances, shallow, etc. Something that tied two people together regardless of what it is 😬 People ask questions like that all the time: “what’s your relationship with him/her?” If it’s revenge then, his relationship with her is that: uncovering the truth of what actually happened.
The fact that she decided to find a motive to stay alive, such as hatred, is a win itself. Instead of jumping off the building, she decided her dream was Yeon-Jin.
I didn't enjoy this one as much as I thought I would. I felt their chemistry lukewarm, some annoying hard-to-ignore…
I watched it cause it was my first time watching a drama with Minho as a male lead. I first saw him in Lovestruck in the City. The featured reviews were positive so I gave it a shot, only to later realize those profiles seem like bots 🥹 but I decided to finish watching it. By the 5th episode it felt like a chore
I love LDH but why is he in the show? I could care less about his story arc. Plus they don't have any chemistry…
Let's wait until part 2 of the series. I found it interesting when he told his psychiatrist that it's their final session. He told her it wasn't working because he already pictured--and planned--how to kill the serial killer. From what I see, Dong-eun lit the spark of taking revenge any means possible to those who inflicted harm. He chose the knife after she undressed and show him her scars.

I read that she retired, so she is no longer part of the industry. That’s why his agency hasn’t revealed any personal info about her.
It's not my genre, but I gave it a shot because of Yeaji's comeback after their scandal. But I hated the trope of falling in love with the enemy. I hated that the male leads fell in love, that she fell in love, the synopsis does not narrate the actual plot, the always-stoic-face of the male lead, the out-of-nowhere feelings, the tango seemed cringy at times, that Eve was a know-everything (from dancing to high-end programmer)... in the end, Han So-ra--the antagonist--carried the show.
I really depend on MDL reviews and comments to help me decide what to watch. The weird, phony reviews for this…
I didn't enjoy this one as much as I thought I would. I felt their chemistry lukewarm, some annoying hard-to-ignore plotholes, stereotypes people, doesn't make a big deal out of cheating, and so on

2) it was ruled as suicide, but Dong-eun knew it wasn’t because she had Yeon-Jin’s name card on her hand.
