I'M JUST PUTTING IT OUT THERE but i think they are deliberately making us think that it's Yoo Shi Jin who is going to die, and then BAM! they show us Yoon Myung Joo in shock with the dog tags in her hands and Seo Dae Young, well.... Let's just say that he might never have the opportunity to wear those tags again :'(

What do you guys think? Anyone agree with me?

Title Descendants of the Sun Spoiler
One of them is going to die. I still don't know which one but one of them IS going to die. That much has been confirmed ( or to the ever-optimistic ppl out there, one of them is missing with unknown whereabouts or been captured by someone and is being tortured and the remaining Alpha Team will launch a rescue mission as the climax). Excuse me while I go and prepare a rope to hang myself with if it ends up being Yoo Shi Jin.

I swear to god if they kill her i will somehow get hold of this M3 virus through sheer willpower and unleash it on the writers! At this point in time where most are more invested in Seo Dae Young and Yoon Myung Joo's romance, they CANNOT do this to us.

omg Song Hye Kyo killed it with her acting in episode 7 that last crying scene was so emotional and she was amazing…
looks like a fellow nocturnal :)

Ep 7 was a sad episode. Not enough to make you cry (I have a feeling we'll be doing enough of that in the next episode) but enough to make you think about what is really important and how to live your life to the full.

WHY IS MYUNGJU'S DAD SO DUMB! =( WHY CAN'T HE JUST ACCEPT THE TRUE LOVE MYUNGJU AND DAEYEONG HAVE. TT^TT
Maybe ur right. but from what i've read, the rankings of each country is different and this is what i found about South Korea. But i may still be wrong. Aaaah. doesn't matter.
and i just looked it up, nothing more, not intensive research or anything. i can't rest until i find out everything if im doubtful about something, that' why i did it. i remember everything i read so, i ended up spewing out all my newly gained knowledge here. Hope it helps other people :D

You guys forgot the most important thing. I was also curious so i did some research after the 3rd episode.
There is quite a lot of difference between myung joo, shi jin and dae young.

Myung Joo and Shi Jin are both commissioned officers whereas Dae Young is a non-commissioned officer (a Busagwan remember).
Anyone can become a non-commissioned officer by enlisting in the army. They are the lowest ranked in the entire army and have to follow the orders of all commissioned officers, regardless of their rank.
while Dae Young, despite being a non-commissioned officer has worked hard and become a Master Seargent, which is the top rank for a busagwan, that is as far as he can go. He can command all the NCO's under him but he himself is subjected to the orders of even the lowest ranked commissioned officer, which is what Myung Joo is, a Lieutenant. The next ranking is a Captain, which is what yoo shi jin is.
A non-commissioned officer cannot become a commissioned officer.
To become a commissioned officer, you need to have a degree and you would need to get a commission from the President of the country after you are able to enter the military academy and graduate.
Seo Dae Young never went to the academy or has a degree. He came from a difficult background as a common street thug and enlisted as a private like kim gi beom.
Myung Joo and Shi Jin, on the other hand started out as lieutenants after they graduated from the academy.
A commissioned officer, if he does well, can get promoted from Lieutenant to First Lieutenant to Captain to Major to Commander to Colonel to General to Admiral and so forth.
Myung Joo's dad thinks that Yoo Shi Jin is General material. Even the Corps Command guy told Yoo Shi Jin that if only he didnt always cause trouble, he would be promoted left and right. Hence Shi Jin is assured to have a bright and prestigious future ahead of him while Seo Dae Young has pretty much already achieved what he could.
We got to sympathise with the dad a little bit for his thoughts. He could hardly be happy about giving away his only surgeon lieutenant daughter to a guy who is and will always remain a master seargent.

ISANG. END.

no, i think ur slightly confused. while it is compulsory for all the males to join the military for at least 2 years in korea, the reason the thief boy was there was because the two male leads took him with them, especially the second male lead took him under his wing as a little brother

I just realised I didnt inquire about the title of this drama, what does is actually mean?
or it could mean that no matter what nationality we are or what religion we follow, we all live under the same sun. just guessing cause of the whole UN thing and their peacekeeping troops
