I agree, the 2007 Japanese version is not a remake, and I agree that Japan has the rights for the story, because they made the manga. But Taiwan was the first to make a drama adaptation, so maybe it should be written "Taiwanese adapation" to that as well? I don't know what My drama List usually does in these cases.

Taiwan made the first drama adaption, so I think it is right to say "parent story" for the Taiwanese, but I asked the staff to write "Japanese adaptation" for the Japanese version as you were suggesting, because clearly the 2007 Japanese version is not a remake

I am not crying but my heart aches, this drama has the same vibes of Ano Hana. Love the actors and its bittersweet atmosphere, but I'd really like it would have a different ending: the current ending is indeed beautiful, but sad, because it feels so real.
