I hire you, what can you contribute to the company? If HT did not invest in xingchen at the beginning, there would be NO xingchen. Plain and simple. She had to make a choice- do or die. After you make your choice, don’t whine and complain you’re being used.

I don’t think he’s using her as a pawn. HT is letting her decide her own path, run her own company, let her make the mistakes. He can predict, because he is very smart and business savvy. But he doesn’t manipulate her. So saying he’s using her as a pawn is not right imo
I’m just on ep33. The way I see JX’s character from ep 31-33 is disappointing. The scene at his home where he threw the document on the table was heartbreaking for HT. he couldn’t understand why she sees him as a villain. To me JX reacted in a very childish tantrum manner , and what made it worse, she quit!! The writers seemed to want to make us sympathise and feel for her, but sorry … for the first time in cdramas, the ML is absolutely right in his dealings, FL is not. In fact, she doesn’t have a knack for business. She doesn’t understand how much he loves her. I don’t know what she is imagining… all because she believe zeng di words… sigh.

It was completely misguided and meant to hurt and destroy them Number 2: because JX listened to ZD, and didn’t clarify with HT , the whole thing probably blew up and from the teasers of ep 31, she quickly runs to Chang He and asks for his investment, which is really stupid cos she knows he’s a snake. Number 3: Hanhai is in direct competition with Xingchen so when JX finds out HT is also the investor with Hanhai, all logic goes out her brain unfortunately. Number 4: she already told grandpa that her company will build their own skeletons, and not compete with the bigger more established companies. So I don’t know what her problem is 😂
