No No No NOOOOOO
The plot is interesting- FL travels back in time 10yrs. Her mission is to help ML who is a bummer become the CEO of the company his parents started. She has 3 months to achieve this. Actually sounds very intriguing but unfortunately the drama failed to deliver.Epi1-10 was not too bad, it was introducing the characters to the audience. The build-up romance was also alright. ML was very sweet to FL, at the same time both are childish and bickering with one another. After that it just got boring and going in circles. The business side of the story was also dull, and the half-brother (who is the villain) showed no development of character. The chemistry and romance between leads was not great, kinda mechanical.
I would say skip this. It was disappointing.

Stranger things indeed;)
The storyline, character and relationship development- I find them all to be quite strange and weird. Many things don’t add up. A lot of push and pull, which makes the story drag on for quite a bit. It also seems to be disjointed and disconnected.FL Xing Fei- her acting is pretty much the same in all her other dramas. We all loved her in PYHOMS.. but there doesn’t seem to be any progress or variety in her style or character she plays. Here she’s still acting clumsy and cute- seems to have some psychological disorder with close contact.
ML Hu Yitian- lol aka mr poker face? Or mr one expression face? Hahah... sorry. It’s the same here... He has selected amnesia, and wants to stay away from FL. but.... one episode he will say “ Let’s draw the line in our relationship”... next episode suddenly he’ll be all interested and trying to get closer to her. HUH.. like what’s going on?
The general feel I get is... childish. The whole storyline, characters etc... just childish. The two boys who seem to have so much time on their hands, always gossiping and goofing off.. how are they on the school team??! Lol...
Oh! The house that FL and ML stay in.. looks like the same house in PYHOMS :):) just different deco and colour! Hahah
Looks like I’m dropping this. Rather slow and draggy, and there are 40 episodes!

Too long and repetitive
I totally forgot about this drama… I paused twice and by the time I reached Ep33 I had enough. I thought about just watching the final episode as I saw a spoiler of a wedding, but I completely forgot! Just goes to show it wasn't that great. The main leads chemistry and romance development were alright to me- nothing wow and sizzling but not that bad either. The 2nd couple doctor and firefighter also was ok. The most annoying thing was FL’s coworker who has so many bad tricks up her sleeve - and yet she has not been sacked from her company!! Just ridiculous. And her evil exploits were too predictable and too crime like- she should be going to jail. Don’t know how she managed to evade the law
Sigh… so here’s another dropped cdrama. Too bad

Beats around the bush
The only reason I watched till almost the end is Ryan Zhang. He looks good :):) I’m not sure why he doesn’t get more lead roles. As for Judy Qi, I’m sorry I found her acting mediocre and quite annoying. I’ve seen two other dramas with her- Love the Way you are and Love Unexpected (this had great chemistry between the two leads)The drama is dubbed, so that was a bad start. The storyline is repetitive, keeps going back and forth with problems in the company, board of directors backstabbing the company, mishaps and misunderstandings. As for the romance, it was meh. Initially the FL was “playing” the two male leads, not really showing affection for Qin Donghai. Then when she started liking him, he in turn was afraid to confess and say I love you. Lol..
I’ve been waiting for the last two episodes to be subbed in ENG, but it’s taking awhile. So I’ve decided to drop it. Sorry, wouldn’t recommend this.

Oh so boring! :(
Unfortunately, yes. The trailers and reels would make you think it’s a romance story between Yangzi and Xukai, but it’s really not.The drama revolves around Mai Chenghuan and her family, centering on her relationship with her mother. The mother has a really annoying character where she talks too much and constantly interferes with other people lives. Too much screen time were given to both the parents which I did not enjoy. The other couple which is her best friend and little brother also did not interest me one bit.
The first half focused mainly on the FL relationship with her bf of 3 years, whom she didn’t know was the son of a very wealthy family. Somehow forced to get married, she finds there’s too many differences in their social status and creates conflict with the future mother and sister in law. These scenes were so frustrating to watch. And her own mother never learns- even after breaking off the relationship, she secretly held an engagement party , tricked her to attend it and it was SUCH A MESS!
After that it gets boring, a grandma dies, she inherits a hotel and navigates her way to run the hotel, whilst getting closer to xukai and liking him… really not that interesting.
So unfortunately will be dropping this. I just fast forward too too much just to get to their kiss scene in ep26- and even that was a lack of chemistry and let down. Definitely not recommended.

What a disappointment!! :(
This has been on my radar for some time. Started watching Cdramas and Kdramas in 2020 due to lockdowns. The first few Cdramas I watched were great- PYHOMS, Love O2O, Lucky’s First Love... I’ve heard of go go squid, and heard that it’s a great one, everyone’s favourite.. but somehow never watched it until now.My oh my... what an utter disappointment. The first few episodes had me cringing.. like what woman in her right mind would follow and stalk mindlessly someone whom she doesn’t even know?? And are venue securities that careless to allow her in? How could staff or other team mates let her in to sit with the team?? Don’t they need to prepare and get ready for the comp?
Have a crush is one thing, but this was creepy stalking and the ML’s character was so poorly written. He thinks himself so highly, so arrogant, so petty over something that happened 10 years ago, bad tantrums, pouty face, and treats her like s*%^. Yeesh... why does she even like him and behave like his puppy?
Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED.

SOOOO STOOOOPPPIIDDDD :3
Why why why must the FLs be written like this? Dumb, naive, stupid, brainless, insecure... then she will go through lots of struggles to become stronger but her character still flighty and nonsensical. Face palm! Then there’s the bitchy rival, who thinks she’s above everyone else. Her actions have been proven wrong and malicious, and yet she has not been fired from her acting job. Whut??!!
Ok the only reason I made it to Epi 10 is Luo Zheng... he’s an eye candy :):):) Lol! That jaw line and his nonchalant I-Don’t-Care-about-anyone-but-you look is so yummy;) haha... pleasseee... he should choose better roles.
Chinese actresses- please don’t accept scripts like this! No one, I mean NO ONE wants to see these types of drama anymore! It’s 2022!!!

Another let down:(
This is the 2nd Leo Luo Yun Xi drama that I dropped within a few months. The other was Broker. I’m sorry but Cheng Xiao just cannot act (even in Falling into your smile). Her face is expressionless, and unfortunately there was hardly any chemistry between the two leads. The storyline is quite interesting, but I was just too annoyed with the uncle Huo Jian. Why does he have to know every single detail about their lives, look into all the rooms in his nephew’s apartment, must know their exact whereabouts and have an explanation given to him? I mean jeez... that’s just ridiculous. Talk about micro managing and controlling.
The music background is really good though. Highly modern and sophisticated and suits the mood of each scene. But unfortunately I don’t think I will continue this. :(

Amazing fight scenes and great chemistry :)
The names Yang Yang and Zhao Lusi are no strangers to the Chinese drama industry. Both are so famous and both have not disappointed in this new drama. They are so poised - the way they stand, the way they fight and portray their individual roles so well. The chemistry between them is very evident already in Episode 1, so I’m expectant of great things to come! :)The whole cast itself is amazing. The writers have done a great job in drawing the audience in, to see and understand the characters and relate to their pain and struggles. There are 3 main themes in this drama: Political and power struggle✔️ Martial arts and Kung Fu fight scenes✔️ Romance and Love✔️ All three have a pretty good balance I would say, and each episode just pulls you deeper to want more!
The fight scenes are incredible. The CG is amazing, the moves are so “Keng” ; it will just keep you wanting for more. The overall pace so far is pretty good. There’s a lot of characters and places, so it can get a bit confusing. The costumes are absolutely beautiful :) Yang yang wears this ombré with different shades of blue, and ZLS has a similar matching baby blue attire- SO GORGEOUS!! I’ve noticed that most of the time they compliment each other with the same shade of colour. The sets are also all very intricately well done with attention to detail. I’m truly very impressed.
Episodes 1-18 there’s a lot of martial arts Kung fu frighting. From the middle to the end it’s more politics and power struggle to ascend to the throne. A lot of talk and conspiracies. But throughout the whole drama there is the romance and love factor between main leads which is very strong.
The final two episodes can be somewhat confusing, as there’s a lot of different battle scenes. The ending is bittersweet, not perfect for me. [Spoiler] What would have been perfect is to see maybe a baby or a little toddler in the picture: and the POSSIBILITY that the 10-year life span curse could be broken. That would be an open-ending, which would have given me hope! The current ending was a little disappointing. [End spoiler]
All in all, a very very good drama!! You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended :)

Had potential but went downhill
Han Jingmo is the ML- a good looking established actor and is the Genius in an online game called Moonlight Blade. Lu wanwan is the FL- started off as his assistant, but she is also an actress and a newbie Chu He in the game. Her brother is the CEO of the agency. Both meet by chance in the game and start playing together.I found the game scenes uninteresting. The fighting, the humour, the lack thereof.. if you want to talk about gaming scenes- falling into your smile was the best. IRL- the two leads go back and forth and the ML was just irritating the way he treated her.
The worst part was Ep16- one minute she goes to his place drunk, the next morning they are already a couple. They cut the whole confession scene.. like whuttt?? It’s really odd, the flow and pace of the storyline wasn’t cutting it.
I like Bi Wen Jun ML but his acting was rather stiff, sort of like Lin Yi when he first started. This is the only drama I’ve dropped AFTER the leads get together. Too weird ;)

Petty, petty and more petty
Ridiculous from start till Ep 15, then decided to drop it. What could have been quit e a good storyline, with twists in the plot and some mystery plus romance- just became annoyance and angst in every episode!PETTY- the one word that keeps popping to my mind. First the mother was insufferable for 6 eps, then we learn the true reason behind it. But the concubine and her two children were #!?^*!!#!#. How many times have they slandered Zhuang Hanyan, and yet they are still allowed to be in the house and continue to slander her. After learning the Zhou yinan hired the Taoist priest and lied about her being some barefoot ghost, she shld have been banished from the house already! Such a serious crime and yet the father did nothing. Still allowed to take charge and continue to plot and slander. All the women gatherings- so whiny and petty, malicious and downright bitchy. Can’t stand it.
No thanks. Romance? What romance hahahaha up till Ep 15 there was only one moment up against the wall, and there was ZERO chemistry. Sighhhh, many gave it a 10! I don’t know how lol

Sorry Taecyeon :(
Sorry to join the bandwagon- but this drama was just bad and disappointing. I love Ok Taecyeon, but his dramas are somewhat meh. This was just boring. The storyline was Slow, no real essence, hardly any development, poor humour and the support casts were not great. FF all the way till Ep9, then it’s bye bye. Maybe if the writers added more mystery and suspense, rather than solely on comedy it might have been better. The romance was dull as well, hardly any chemistry
Hopefully he chooses better script in the future.

Jasper could not save this one ;)
I actually like both actors Jasper Liu and Zhou Yu Tong, so I was quite disappointed with this one. The pace of it overall was just slow, and it was neither here nor there.I didn’t like Jasper playing this sort of character- shy, introverted, uncertain. It just didn’t suit him. Similarly with Yu Tong- she was messy, irresponsible and just clueless. Other reviewers said they had no chemistry, and I agree. The second couple had some potential to peak my interest, but again the pace was just too slow even for just 24 episodes!
I did like Wu Cheng Xu who played Zheng Ming Hao- love rival. He looked good with his hair tied up. He was also the love rival in Unforgettable Love, and I liked the scenes where both males would have a “stand-off” ;)
I managed to reach episode 17 only because I skipped a lot :P Sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this.

Another draggy beat around the bush
I’ve been dropping quite a few dramas lately. This one seemed ok at the start. I particularly like the visuals of the two main leads Shawn Dou and Glunezer. However, the storyline started to drag and go around in circles, with no real character or relationship development (well not one that I liked).Yuan Lai is the most childish, most insecure and stupid woman in the whole world. Whenever there is a misunderstanding between her and the man she loves, she just runs away without asking or communicating. Then she becomes angry and resentful towards him and pushes him away. Woman, all your problems can be solved if only you communicated better. He gave up so much for you, and yet you’re still pushing him away. Annoying character. You don’t deserve Jin Ran.
It isn’t clear why Jin Ran left for Japan 5 years ago without saying a word, apparently to study? Why couldn’t he inform Yuan Lai, why couldn’t they keep in touch? Why only 5 years later he decided to come back for Yuan Lai? So dubious.
And as for Chengzhi, the woman you like already rejected you, a few times, and yet you want to continue pursuing her? Have some self respect please. His pursuer Shen Shuang Shuang is no better, making a fool of herself to chase him. Not my cup of tea.
Shawn Dou was just great, I hope to see him in better roles. His latest one Tears in Heaven- I read it’s a similar draggy, beat around the bush kinda story. Sigh... how sad.

Not your happily ever after
Starting this off was very interesting. It’s real life drama intertwined with animation of cells that are within Yumi, and what makes Yumi unique and individual. Each cell is introduced one by one, and there are many cells to remember, but there are the few main cells which you will see more often- primarily Love, Reason, Sensitive, Hunger and later on Lust/ Naughty (lol!) and each have their own shape and size and unique style- oh don’t forget Fashion cell! Kudos to the writers for being so creative with this!!
Now regarding the relationship element- Gu Wung was a red flag from the beginning to me. They met on a blind date- and he was immediately captivated by her. He came across aloof and somewhat disorientated, but eventually they started dating. What I couldn’t agree with was his lying, continued lying with the ruse of not wanting her to worry or overreact. Both were not completely honest and open with each other, which resulted in many misunderstandings. Wung also did not draw boundaries with his long time ‘girl’ good friend which is a major red flag for me. So in a way- the storyline is very realistic and relatable.
Kim Go Eun was commendable in her role, but the hair cut and style... uhmm no. Sorry. Uh uh. Don’t expect a happy ending :)
