damn that ending scene for today's episode was something else 😩 now gotta wait for tomorrow's ep again 😞😞

me ever since they only released one eps each day: will just wait and let the episodes to marinate for at least a week

i have watched until ep 21. i dont watch as much cdrama with this genre but this one is totally worth the try. you should watch more eps and decide from there if you still wanna continue. from what i can say, i like how they mix some comedy into the seriousness and for me the leads does have a lot of screeentime and their relationship progress isnt that slow to me

i need some explanation on this, from what i understand, Sui Yuanqing is the heir of Prince Changxin (which im not sure who and from what city/county but i assume they are from powerful family). and correct me if im wrong, Qi Min should be the older brother of Sui Yanqing right? which should have made him the first in line to the throne but is not due to his "health". and are they not blood related since they have different family name? and why does Qi Min feels threatened by Yu Bao Er's existence tho if Sui Yanqing is the heir? im assuming the ending will be both the brothers will die and Yu Bao Er will be the sole heir? (i dont read the novel, just saw some comments on this). im so curious, please enlighten me dear novel readers 🥹

also i dont understand why Xiezheng had to wear a mask when saving Changyu at EP 19? why is he trying so much to hide his identity or himself at that time? and i dont get why he just refused to tell his real identity since long ago, wouldnt it be better if Changyu knows?

EP 18 & 19 is truly heartbreaking. the village that used to be lively is just gone overnight. saddest thing for me was the fact that even the side characters that used to be mean to FL still protected her until the end, and i sobbed when the gossipy Aunt Kang was telling her grandson about the dumplings and also tried to protect Ningniang even tho she had beef with them before 😭 that Yuanqing guy is a damn psychopath, i hope when the time comes, Xiezheng and Changyu will torture him so good before they kill him. and my poor Qianqian 😭 i hope these two brothers will get the worse karma that they deserve cause i truly think there's nothing that can redeem their character even tho they're good looking (the only thing that are good about them). cant wait for next epsss

i rewatched some eps almost every day because i still cant move on (havent start watching another drama after finishing this) and came here just to read comments. i wished there were more episodes, 36 doesn't feel enough

also my Wei Liang and XiaoTao dont deserve this 😭😭 i dont know why they had to add this to the story, it was really unnecessary. and i didnt like A' Fan's character much but she definitely dont deserve that :( also i was hoping they showed what they did to Lady Yulou in the end

finally finished watching 😭 its a 10/10 for me. it wasnt too heavy on politics and have more story into the main couple's relationship development and i also like how there are a lot of funny moments in between. even tho it takes quite some time for them to fully trust and be devoted to each other, it was worth it. i hope LYN and SZE can be in another drama again together, their chemistry is top notch. its my first time watching both of the leads but i didnt expect i would love this drama and their acting so much. i only knew LYN before as a singer (especially from OSTs) and didnt expect much from his acting, but i was genuinely surprised. and SZE wasnt that known to me, only watched her before from variety shows, and she suits this role so much that i dont think any other actress could have done it better

btw can you tell me whats the role of the other 2 main leads (not main couple) listed in here? i just reached ep 11.. and its the ep they just appeared.

i just started watching this, can someone spoil when does the main couple actually "get together"? because i read its a slow burn

just finished watching all 40 eps. loved the main couple, even tho the story mainly focuses on the political aspects and less about their romantic moments, it somehow balances the story (although i kinda wished there were more of them) and about the SML, i wouldnt say i hate him, i just didnt like him and everytime he appears on screen, i either skipped or put it on 1.5x speed lol. and I feel for Li Chuan, i understand why he did what he did in his 1st life and i still love his character especially him in the 2nd life, im glad he has his happy ending with QZZ. also, why was Consort Rou so dumb? everything she did was so stupid to the point that i feel like i cant even hate her. i feel a little bad for the emperor, he cant even fully give his love or trust to either both of his wives, or he's just too paranoid for his own good. i just wished he had more closure and better relationship with Li Chuan and Li Rong as I do feel like he genuinely loved them as his children. anyway, i wished they had shown Li Rong and PWX's child for the ending :((

now you cannot end the drama like that.. 😭 i didn't expect this would be so good. its too short but their chemistry make up for it
