I think that many people felt underwhelmed with the ending cuz neither Won Tak nor Min Joo slept with anyone in their group. However, it makes sense because it suits the personality of their characters. Min Joo's disorder is a REAL disorder. It also goes by another name called sexsomnia. It is also better for them to not have anything with each other because they are FRIENDS. I would hate it if Won Tak had had an affair with his friend's wife or fiance. The drama explained why the two girls like Won Tak at the beginning and why the two guys yearn for Min Joo near the end. It is also understandable why WT looks for MJ at the end. All of this happened due to misunderstandings, so everyone was partly at fault. I don't know why some ppl say the ending predictable. I totally did not see that coming

I found the drama confusing at first, but it actually makes sense toward the end. I think this type of drama is quite unique. That is why ppl either hate or love it. I actually enjoyed it a lot. The cast's acting is really good

I think that Kang Ho is supposed to be this way to show contrast with the real judge (his brother), who seems…
Yeah I forgot to address the mental breakdown part. I think that it would hardly be seen as a mental breakdown when Kang Ho is a lot more cheerful than Soo Ho. I think it would be more concerning if the real judge normally acted like Kang Ho but suddenly talked less and more serious like Soo Ho. What I meant is that it is possible for one person to become brighter, more expressive, and more talkative (and even vice versa). I have met a few ppl changed considerably after having a relationship. Their partner's personality seems to rub off on them significantly. I could think of many scenarios where one's personality changes drastically: relationship/marriage with s1 who is very different, getting lots of money out of nowhere (like lottery or stock sales?), terminal illness (this one seems to be neg but diff ppl have diff reactions. Some ppl try to re-establish their old connections once they know they are dying), enlightenment from self-help books/classes, etc. I have watched a couple of movies with multi-personality disorder like Enemy, Double, Fighters' club, Stonehearst Asylum, Hide and Seek, and Split. Based on those movies, I think that it is hard to find out whether a person has DID/ MID or not. If my friend starts acting more talkative and outrageous all of a sudden, DID/ MID would be the last thing that I suspect from her.
In the case of Soo Ho, except for his mom, no one seems to be close with him enough to even know or care for him as a person. We don't know much about his relationship with his colleagues , but I doubt that he is close with anyone at work judging on his cold attitude. There were three assistants in the office before So Eun came as an intern. So Eun hadn't met Soo Ho, so we won't talk about her. One of the male assistants used to talk with the fiance who tried to kill Soo Ho and even openly admitted to Kang Ho (who he thought as Soo Ho ofc) that he didn't like how the judge used to be and was that he changed during their goodbye in the office. Soo Ho's relationship w/ the other female assistant is unknown. The assistant with glasses is the only one who seems to care for him a bit, but then he only attributed some of Kang Ho's weird actions to stress. We also don't know if they are actually close or not. They may be merely coworkers, so his assistants don't care for his well being as a person despite noticing the change.
Soo Ho doesn't seem to have any close friends. The lawyer (so-called chingu) was his former classmate and seemed to talk with him about court cases. They don't seem like real friends but rather business/ professional partners? Dude hates Soo Ho with all his gut. Why would he care if Soo Ho has MID/DID or not? Kang Ho (who he thought as Soo Ho ofc) said that he was annoying and wanted to change.
The only person who should have found out is the girlfriend. However, we don't know much about their relationship either. She said in ep 3 or 5 that she liked him b/c he was a judge. They had a fight when he wanted to quit his job. When she first met Kang Ho, he said that Soo Ho was a jerk. On the second time they met, she thought he changed his mind as he decided to keep his job (an indication that he listens and agrees with her). He said sorry when she was about the cry. After the interview, Kang Ho said that he (but referred to Soo Ho) was ungrateful. His gf told him to stop self-reflecting. From her viewpoint, she probably thought that Soo Ho changed after their fight. They met again two more times and only talked about her work. With such few and short meetings, she may be unbothered by the personality change. Kang Ho mostly acts up in front of the intern who didn't know the true Soo Ho. If anything, I would say that his colleagues and girlfriend loved his personality change and wanted him to keep staying that way.
As for the mom, she has always known who is Kang Ho and who is Soo Ho though. The only time she mistook them was when Kang Ho dressed up in his bro's suit and drove his bro car to pay back the money to another thug. She found out who he is when he was about drive off, though. That is like 1 time only. It is possible that she rarely see Kang Ho in suit, so she thought he was Soo Ho. The thug also called Soo Ho to ask for money. Then Kang Ho arrived, dragged him out to take the money, and hoped on the car immediately. When his mom saw his face closely through the car side window, she noticed right away that was Kang Ho. She mistook Kang Ho for Soo Ho on the phone only, which is again reasonable. I am friends with 2 pairs of twins and can confirm that twins have similar voices. Even though we are bestfriends, I mistook them b/c of their voices on the phone sometimes. Kang Ho also had Soo Ho phone, so ofc his mom would think that she was talking to Soo Ho. It could be even the director's intention to show that people around Soo Ho (except for his mom) doesn't care about him, or he has always been a loner. He didn't even bother to tell his gf abt his twin's existence and the whole truth behind his resignation.
Kang Ho doesn't seem like the calculating type. If he was worried about being exposed or worried about his family's wellbeing/safety, he wouldn't even dare to mess with the conglomerate and admit bribery during the disciplinary meeting in the first place. In real life, judges like that could possibly be assassinated (these are the comments of the Koreans under dear judge videos posted by sbs now and sbs catch). You can read them for reference if you are interested.
I don't think that this show is supposed to be serious. On many watching/ streaming websites (dramacool and hdvip for ex), comedy is also listed in the genre part. Even this website (kisskh) includes comedy in genre. Other websites only say legal b/c that is the main theme of the drama. It revolves a lot around social issues, and the setting is the courtroom. Comedy is allowed in a legal drama. Also, Kang Ho becomes more and more serious as the series progresses. The purpose is probably to highlight his maturity. Toward the end of the drama, you may notice the similarities between Kang Ho and Soo Ho in their expressions more. I think that comedy is objective. I see those so-called exaggeration as comedy. It is funny for me, my sister, and friend who watched this drama with me. Personally, I like silly characters like Kang Ho and Hyun Jae probably b/c of my stressful work life. Characters like that bring me more energy and good laughs. I wouldn't say CTH saved YSY's acting in the best hit b/c most of Hyun Jae's quirks and silliness are shown he is together with the trio on the rooftop. Gwang Jae and Hyun Jae often talk about finding the money, the truth behind 94 Hyun Jae's disappearance, and composing a new song for JB group. Hyun Jae was goofy in the beginning but became quite serious during the last 15 eps or so. Dude also had family issue like Kang Ho. He told Wooseung that he lost his parents at young age and led a careless life since then. He said that he didn't have friends either b/c of his unstable temperament. Gwang Jae was his only friend, and 94 Hyun Jae did leave the money for him. What I am trying to say is that characters like these are made sensible with their tragic past. Some ppl become cold upon dealing with trauma/ extreme sadness while others use their cheerful exterior to mask or temporarily forget the pain. This probably comes down to personal preference where you don't enjoy the appearance of such characters but I do.
Anyway, it is great talking to ya. We probably just have to agree to disagree due to diff tastes.

The ending was rushed .... the plot did not make sense at the end how come the twin brother did not get prosecuted…
I think that the point of not revealing the twin truth to everyone is to avoid suspicions. Had they found out about Kang Ho standing in for his bro, he would have been imprisoned or worse. The cases he judged would have been re-trialed. The trainee said she wanted to get revenge on her sisters rapists by making him stand trial again. However, when she met her sister, her sister said that she is satisfied as long as he is punished (even for a diff crime). That rapist went to jail tks to Kang Ho XD

I think that Kang Ho is supposed to be this way to show contrast with the real judge (his brother), who seems…
I get what you mean but after all Kang Ho hasn't seen his bro for a while, so it would be hard for him to know how to act like a judge. YSY's acting reminds me of many Hollywood actors' style (jimmy carey for example). I guess that is how most directors put some comedy into movies/ dramas. I think that it is more common for Hollywood movies to have characters act unlike their usual self? Also, Soo Ho in the drama told everyone he is the only child, while Kang Ho told the lawyer friend that he decided to change. No one has seen Kang Ho before either (except his mom ofc) b/c he was in jail. His senior thought that Soo Ho' s resignation had gone to his head or sth. I guess the biggest thing is that no one knows that he has a twin. So Eun even found a doc which says that Soo Ho is the only child. If someone I know starts acting up, I would just think that they have experienced sth and decided to change if they don't have a twin. (human cloning is not possible lol XD)

It would have been interesting if he had tried studying law, but I think the plot would get a bit messy if that happened. If I were Kang Ho, I wouldn't even know where to start. It is just too much. I can imagine that law books are hard to read if he/she has no basic knowledge of legal terms or stuffs like that. Also, it seems to suit his carefree character. He did try to investigate a few cases, though :3 I guess the point of the drama is to show how would a person judge based on common sense and empathy instead of just going by the book like Soo Ho?
It also kinda set him apart from his twin. Each is good at diff things. Kang Ho doesn't have to try to be someone like his bro.

I started this drama around the time it came out. Now some months later I'm resuming(stopped half way through)…
I think that Kang Ho is supposed to be this way to show contrast with the real judge (his brother), who seems to be insensitive and emotionless most of the time. While Soo Ho is not necessarily bad, he doesn't have consideration for other ppl' s feeling. His judgements seem to be based on the laws only (SPOILER ALERT: even if he knows the dirty truth behind the cases concerning the conglomerate), while Kang Ho is more attentive to the citizens' feelings more. It is evident in the way how he listened and helped the mistreated Osung Group worker, the blind girl, the man who lost his wife and child in the DUI case, and the man who works in the emergency department. I think that Kang Ho is supposed to represent the humane side of a person. Kang Ho and Soo Ho are like two ends of the spectrum with one being very logical (or rather emotionless) and the other being very emotional.
The great thing about Kang Ho's bold character is that it made possible for the judge to go all out and against such powerful rich ppl without hesitance. With all that being said, the character Kang Ho is extremely hard to play. I think that actor Yoon Shi Yoon really carried the role well. I could imagine the director telling him to act like a judge and not like a judge at the same time for his roles LOL.

They could have made this better had it been more focused on Han Kang Ho's development: they could have had him…
I think that it would have been hard to study law though, wouldn't it? I am not sure. Being a judge seems to require a lot of studying XD Also, his identity would have been exposed early had he tried to learn from the intern. His interest/talent is in cooking, though :3

I saw many comments disliked the portrayal of the main character, so I wanna share my opinion in defense of the main character. As the series progresses, Kang Ho becomes more and more mature. This character may seem childish or over the top, but I think Kang Ho was designed to be this way to highlight how one's upbringing affects his personality. This character is mistreated by his mother and spent years in prison since young age due to his brother's lie, so it makes sense that he doesn't know how to behave/ socialize around people and acts up sometimes as a defense mechanism.
Also, by building a character this way, it is easy to distinguish him from the real judge (his brother), who seems to be insensitive and emotionless most of the time. If you look up the views and comments below the videos of this drama uploaded on sbs channels, you would be amazed of how many ppl in Korea love this character. Some international viewers complain about it being unrealistic for a judge to act that way. Well... ofc it is. Had this been based on reality, Kang Ho would be imprisoned for impersonating a real judge or secretly killed to cover the conglomerate 's case. The point of the story is to show what would happen if a person with a heart and common sense would do in such trials. Most ppl (in Korea at least) would want to act the same way as Kang Ho did, but it takes a lot of guts to jail such big fish in the society.
