I can't imagine two detectives not bonding in a field that affects people's mental health. Do you think the chemistry between Shima and Ibuki wasn't well-acted? I am enjoying their dynamic so far (on episode 2). They argue without holding back like old friends, and back each other up when their partner has a hunch. What's your example of a good cop bromance? Her character is different from another drama I saw (Korean Odyssey). So she was told to portray her character that way, or at least it was approved by the Director etc.

This drama questions whether people who are mentally different whether it’s high IQ or low EQ can live as normal human beings. They process information differently which can at times be dangerous.. Or is society overreacting?

I just want to warn that it is hard for two actors who portray the same character in a different age to have him/her have the same personality. That aside all the actors did a great job. I just wish there was no romance at all.

It is mostly a psychological thriller with little romance that felt forced.

Korean drama Boyhood (2023)

Korean movie “Twenty”. Taiwanese drama, “Bromance” is about Male friendship but one of the males is a woman (Bromance to Romance).

there may be 1 or 2 kiss scenes but they aren’t rememberable. the show focuses more on ML’s past and the villains in the show. The romance felt unnecessary.

I’m on ep 4. are you talking about the “2nd” FL (if she counts as one)? So far she is at a few of his jobs. it is weird.

This drama is very emotional. they do a good kid depicting mental illness. I highly recommend this if you are interested in slice of life. It’s about the people who have an illness than the medical field.

If the best friend stayed as a friend I agree it wouldn’t change the story. I liked his role though. He was used as another example that mental illness is unpredictable and not prejudice.

How is this a Melodrama?

I didn’t know Bo Gum is 31! he seemed older. He is the same age as IU. How cool!

I recommend Encounter. it’s my favorite drama but very slow so it may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

She was obsessed because she was living through him. She wanted her sacrifices for him to be not done in vain.
