I also watched a variety show some time ago (I can't recall the name and stopped watching after she left). They were both on the show, and though I didn’t know who Tian Jia Rui was back then, their chemistry was undeniable.

There’s just something about the way he looks at her and those subtle moments it feels like there's more there than just friendship. And his expression when WX smiled at the thought of repairing the Baize token. Poor Zhuo Yi Chen looked genuinely heartbroken.

Did Zhuo Yi Chen just die? And why was Zhao Yuan imagining him as Li Lun?

Anyway, the fight scenes between Yi Chen and Yuan were incredible. Poor Zhuo Yi Chen had to battle two demons back-to-back—they really overestimated him. Also, still no kiss.

I never understood why Zhuo Yi Chen eyes will turn blue whenever he's using his sword but why was also his clothing glowing blue in episode 21 ???

I just watched a video of Tian Jia Rui braving freezing water despite his intense fear of it, visibly trembling but pushing forward. It's remarkable to see how he's confronting his phobia head-on for this role. Facing not only icy conditions but also a deep-seated fear really highlights his commitment to bringing his character to life. He's clearly pushing himself to new limits, and I truly hope all of his hard work and resilience pay off in the end.

I couldn’t agree more. I don't remember the last time I was this excited for a new actor. Tian Jia Rui brings such authenticity and grace to wuxia roles, he truly embodies the spirit of the genre. His expressions alone have this magnetic quality. I hope he gets more major roles in the future.

That’s such an intriguing take. I’m starting to think you might be onto something with him being a dragon or a similar divine creature. The details you pointed out—the red semi-scales, the hairpins like horns, and especially the pagoda demon’s wording really add up. It’s almost like his true nature is hidden even from himself, and those nightmares he had as a child of him turning into a demon could be a hint that his transformation is coming. Imagine the twist if he realizes he’s not a human but something far more powerful.

Humans, with all their complexities, flaws, and emotions, can sometimes be their own worst enemy, while demons, often seen as pure power or malice, bring their own brand of chaos. But sometimes, demons are more misunderstood than evil, just like humans can be. It makes you wonder which side is really more "human" in the end.

It’s also nice to see Zhuo Yi Chen finally putting his hatred aside and warming up to him. Their dynamic is really starting to change.

Why did Zhu Yan, even when he wasn’t himself, just let Zhuo Yi Chen dream instead of killing him? What held him back? Is he selective? Like he killed the dragon god.
