I felt that MC become more and more mature.. in the trailer i can see that MC cut his cloth and throw the cloth the MZ (showing cut family tie...) MC will be rebel to MZ... yea finally he grown up..
and at that time, I felt that AR also not sure that MC like her until: . she saw the message inside the bracele . he rushing back when he know that AR die . he built the grape vine house . protect her from killing xinran . protect LingXi

I think the progress MZ become more obsesive because he felt defeated on every step (specially when Cai informed him) rather than love her unconditionally (different than MC).
