First of all in both episodes 8 and 9 the scum is referred to as a "good for nothing" , "talentless" person who will harm the people if he becomes an official. (Said exactly by the main lead ) , the villain relies solely on the name of his family to solve his problems (seen by his fight with the ML) and forces young girls into submission, if you find that not incompetent and sick then we just have different standards

Next in original comment I never implied a correlation between his fatness and incompetence, regardless of his looks his actions are still despicable. I would never say it would be better if he was was good looking or skinny, if he was skinny I would have just referred to him as a skinny male so people know who I'm talking about

😭 always repeating the same few storylines, even the names in Cdramas get repeated (all the blossoms titles recently)

😭 they kinda of just skipped all the middle part of the webtoon, hopefully season 3 covers that (also hope Jimmy and Jake make a feature)

😭 idk, I rewatched the first epsiode and the ML specifically said he won't marry anyone because he doesn't want to drag anyone down with his revenge. Also there were people complaining that he was rude to her during the wedding scene, the man was drugged by her father (whom he thinks might have been involved with his mentors death) ofc he's going to be mad 😭

Didn't he reject her because he wanted to focus on his revenge and didn't want to harm her

Tian Jia rui and xiao zhiguang would be perfect for this

Yh I agree , it's feels weird seeing him in this drama , he feels more suited to hold an iPhone than a sword 😭

You know beauty is subjective right , after watching Wang ziqi in the embers I found him attractive and good at acting. Likewise fans of his other popular dramas like "the love you give me " probably find him attractive as well. In my opinion his looks suits contemporary/detective dramas more then historical. If you find him unattractive that's fine but you shouldn't be so outwardly rude

Yh I agree , the character he plays is quite bland and doesn't allow the actor to showcase his skills at all

Just finished episode four, I understand that the ML is poor but I wish the styling for him could have been better 😭 ,his hairstyle along with his plain outfit makes him look bad. The colour grading of this drama is a tad off imo, it makes the drama seem quite cheap looking at times. Although it can get cringey and unrealistic I still am enjoying the drama , it's just a lightweight simple cute one (not all dramas need to be serious or plot heavy)

Will there be a season three 😭 idk how they'd do it but they need to include Jimmy bae and Jake ji (my favourite characters and two vital characters for the storytelling, they both parallel the main charcters and they were two out of the three chief mourners for Donald )

😭 that's because the actor for jiseok actually had facial expressions. This ML had the same expression when he was angry, sad and happy 💀

😭 your so right about the goo siblings the fact they can just forgive and forget the chairwoman and seyoung after all this is insane. At the very least the Aunt got what she deserved.
