to me if you start the first season with a cast it doesn't matter if you bring in better and more popular cast it just wont have the same feeling as you grow attached to the cast and take interest in there storyline/progress so when you bring in new cast especially the main people and call it "Season 2" it would be better just called something new cause that's what it feels like imo.

I really didn't like the direction of most cast members storyline and for me personally the point the show as a whole started going down hill was when Asule got summoned to the young emperors palace .. I wouldn't say it was a disappointment but for me and probably many others after watching the first 10 episodes it was far from what I expected
