Episode 20: A Grand Event Under Manipulation
The Magnificent 7 are now separated and going their own way, until MW finds out that LSN has been captured by Wu Lian aka Demon Seed. Now, they are knew it was a trap, but you can’t let one of your Magnificent 7 go down. MW goes back to the hideout and sends up the flare aka “The Bat Signal” to call them all. This was flare or aka “The Bat Signal” was only to be used if one of them was trapped and in trouble and we all know that LSN was.
Each of the Magnificent 7 acted like they weren’t going to heed to the call. We all knew that none of them were going to let that happen. They all go to the hideout. But wait, we have MW’s husband rolling up into the hideout with guards wondering what is going on with MW going there all the time. Now, the only reason why he was there because of one of the maidservants decided she was going to get MW. But come on, the chick has to get up pretty early to get one over our girl MW. She is all chilled out and ask her husband what his deal is rolling up to the crib. Xu Zhi Yang (MW's husband) was telling her he heard she had a man there. And of course, the little maidservant narc decides to add her two cents saying she was an indecent woman, blah, blah, blah. I was thinking, “Girl, just stop and stay in your lane. What do you know.”
Well, you know MW she didn’t say anything because my man SM came out and said, “Yeah, I’m here and I’m an Imperial Guard. Next, it was LCF then HJJ and finally LX. Basically, they gave the maidservant narc a smackdown. Even XZY told the maidservant narc to shut up. MW told him that she would explain everything after that night and to trust her once more. You know he was and told her he would wait. Took the maidservant narc and guards and left.
You have old WL aka Demon Seed thinking he will get the gang but again, he got checked. They burned down Yanyu Tower where we lost one of our 7.LSN!!!! I really thought that she would get away, but that dame chastity lock wouldn't budge. Who has one of those? Seriously? Demon Seed and all his hanging with women is that what he put on them. Wow! She sacrificed herself because she had decided a long time ago when she testified on behalf of Rulan that she would be willing to sacrifice in whatever way. That was this day. She told each of them to leave and ask MW to take care of her man back at her place.
Episode 21: Fleeting Glimmer of Hope
They are now the Magnificent 6. They hold a burial for LSN.
The Magnificent 6 decide to cause discord among the embroiders after the fire. They tell them they should be compensated for losing all of their work. Demon Seed is hot. I mean hot. He tells them that he will let explain to them in 7 days what happened. Yeah, let's think of another good lie.
MW meets with Mr. Lou (Dept. of Justice, Eastern District of Huainan) to discuss Demon Seed. He tells her that he put a warning out to Demon Seed to chill out and don’t do anything or he was going to nab his ass. But the capital has been telling Mr. Lou that he needs to return asap and stop working on the case. He tells MW she has ten days to find any info on Demon Seed.
MW meets with the rest of the Magnificent and tells them: “On the day Mr. Lou sets off after ten days I will personally stop him to accuse Demon Seed.” She had four letters and in each was a person’s name and address written on it. They were all closely related to the Rulan case of that year. M6 split up into four groups to look for those four people. They have to ensure those individuals will stand in court with her in ten days. Here we go. Trying to convince people who clearly are going to say no. It's like that commercial back in the day, "Better not get involved."
Of course, LCF ask if one of the letters was to Tian Xiao Ling (the one embroideress) who went to the nunnery. MW tells him to not force her if she does not want to dredge up the past. LCF declines to take the letter. He decides to write a letter himself to her.
SM and HJJ team up and go to they go to Linzhou City. FD goes to Hu’an County. LX and MW have the last letter but before they leave MW tells LX that she needs to deal with the female spy in her house. Oh, you know this will be good. You know she was ticked the maidservant narc came to the hideout. Now, it was time to set her right. I felt a smackdown was coming big time!! Get her MW! But before she handles that she tells her husband everything about the past and her being with him. It is a very touching moment for them both. They both had their reason for the marriage, but it was nice to see everything was laid out. She finally called him by his first name which, you know, I feel there could be just a glimmer of hope for this marriage when she handles all of this.
Now, I thought MW was going to make me proud when she handled the maidservant narc, but nope. She fooled me. The was so stupid. She tells the maidservant narc that she will let her live and has someone watch her outside of town. Really? I mean do something other than that. I can’t right now. You know this situation here, is going to come back and bite her in the ass! Right?
M6 set out to do their appointed assignments.
Meanwhile, we have the Demon Seed going to see his wife after three years to beg her to help him. Boy bye. You haven't seen me in three years, and you want a favor from me! You better start to steppin. I have NOTHING, I MEAN NOTHING for your perpetrating ass! But you know evil never sleeps, just like Demon Seed. She tells him that she will not help him because she knows of all of his despicable deeds, but he claps back and says if you do that then you and the whole family goes down. Do you want that? Damn. He clapped back at her. Man...
MW and LX they went to see Rulan’s brother. It was good to see that he had married and had a family of his own. His wife was supportive of him to help reopen the case. But both parents had passed several years ago. He also asks MW if she was the one sending him money. She admitted that she had because she felt it was her responsibility to do so as Rulan's friend. He agrees to attend the trial. At last, now he better not be lying and not show up.
Demon Seed threatens Mama Zhang to help him become an officer at the embroidery office or else he will let everyone know that Rong’er was not a virgin when he married her. Ruining the reputation of the Zhang family. Oh, he is going there. I can't stand him.
Episode 22: Face the Past
Demons Seed tells Mama Zhang that he will send her to the capital to talk to her relative in the ministry and to get him the director of Embroidery Office. He gets on my nerves. That smug smirk on his face. I could just slap him. Rong’er even told him her family wouldn’t help him unless he divorced her. You see how you have to negotiate with him. Mama Zhang agrees to his demands but when she comes back, he has to immediately divorce Rong’er. Demon Seed says he will provide the divorce settlement upon her successful return.
Rong’er admits to her mother all the wrongdoing that she did with Demon Seed with the girls at the Yanyu tower. That's why she is praying all the time. She thinks that will save her for what she did as well didn't do. Please.
A few days later a letter comes: "Rong’er, it’s done. You can break up with Demon Seen and return home." Damn, he still won’t give her the divorce because it takes three days for the official seal to come from the capital and to secure his position. This man! I know Rong’er can’t wait to get away from him.
Rong’er was trying to bust a move out of town back to her mother’s, but MW and LX caught her on the road. Rong'er tries to tell MW that she doesn’t know her, but they take her away in the carriage so that MW can break it down to girlfriend. Meanwhile, someone else was watching. You know who it is. That slithering snake Wu An aka Snake that works as the sidekick to Demon Seed. He is another cuckoo for cocoa puffs villain.
Oh, it is about to go down. MW took Rong’er to the nunnery to Tian Xiao Ling. Seeing her broke Rong’er down, so she started spilling her guts like a running faucet. She has another expenditure book, knows all about the dirty deeds Demon Seed did. Aww, damn that damn Snake is listening in on the conversation. She tells MW where she hid the other book which is in the Buddha Shrine. Now sidekick hears this, so you know he is busting a move to get back to get it before M6 does. Man!!!
LCF finds out that Demon Seed is holding a banquet because of his new position. MW is going to attend. Snake got the book before MW did. Dang! But he puts it back after Demon Seed decides to set a trap knowing that the M6 team will come for it. Really? Snake needs to die. They catch LCF stealing the account book. Beat him, kicked him and stabbed him in the back. You know Snake did that! MW goes to safe LCF as Demon Seed burns the pages of the account book in front of her. LX comes in and saves both of them by putting a blade to Demon Seed’s throat. They all escape but it isn't looking good for LCF. He really got jacked up.
LCF sent his letter to the nunnery telling Tian Xiaoling to meet him at the Qiqiao Festival. He asks MW to meet her because he won’t be able too. He told he has a gift prepared for her and a letter he wrote in the study. He asks her to deliver it for him and not to force her to leave the mountain if she doesn’t want too. He holds onto the rabbit lantern and dies. Then there were five.
TXL opens up the nunnery doors and sees thousands of rabbit lanterns that LFC made for her. She thinks back to when she first went to the festival with him. The Magnificent 5 come in his place and she knows that he is dead. MW holds the bloody lantern that LFC had when he died. LX gives her his letter. After reading the letter, TXL runs away crying. It was sad because her man was now gone…
Oh, then another twist. MW does a divorce settlement with her husband; well, I guess my thoughts of them getting together just went up in smoke.
Mr. Lou invited the now Magnificent 5 to dinner to let them know once Demon Seed is appointed there is nothing he can do. The key is, if the case is handed over to the Dali Court, they won’t be able to do anything. Mr. Lou and wife are leaving.
Mr. Lou's wife is ticked because she feels no justice was served. The are going back to the capital. M5 are waiting for Mr. Lou to come because MW had decided to try and have him stay. But wait...we get a surprise. TXL kneels in front of Lou’s carriage and says that Demon Seed raped her. Yes, finally!!!!
Episode 23: The Retrial of Rulan
The Magnicifent 5 are standing as are all the people as TXL and MW are kneeling in front of the Lou's carriage asking him to retry the case. He tells his wife it looks like I can't leave today. He tells them to return to the Yamen. Hold court tomorrow.
At Yanyu Tower, Demon Seed finds out about the trial from Snake, who says they need to kill TXL.
Meanwhile, MW's husband is reading the abandonment letter that MW has left him. He asks her what she means by the letter. She tells him that she just came back from the city gate. The news should come quickly. If he wants to divorce her at this time, perhaps it can protect the reputation of the Xu family. He asks her what if he refuses. She tells him back then; she insisted on marrying him as a concubine because she intended to meet Mama Ning.
For the seven years, he has treated her well, and his wife treated her like a sister. Although what she did was justified, she cannot be that selfish, making his family lose its reputation because of her. He asks her does she have to go to court. She tells him that she should have done this seven years ago. Too many people have sacrificed a lot for this. How can she back down? He says doesn't she have anything that she can give up in the Xu family. She says the seven years have been the best time of her life. He tells her that she still insists on leaving. And yes, she tells him her mind is made up. He asks her to let him write a divorce settlement for her. She tells him no that only an abandonment letter can make a clean break. She gets the pen and hands it to him. He finally agrees. I felt bad because I believe he really did love her, and she did love him in her own way. She bowed one last time and left him.
Remember the sneaky lawyer that didn’t help Rulan but Demon Seed. Well, be careful when you cross people. He came back to get him because Demon Seed didn’t keep his promise to hook him up.
MW goes to stay with HJJ because she has nowhere to go. TXL went back to the nunnery. I can’t with her. You know that Demon Seed is going to try and kill them.
Snake attacks MW but SM is nearby, and they get him. Thank goodness. Put his little slithering ass in jail. MW does get injured, but it is just a surface cut.
MW figured he was going to come after her and not TXL because she is the decision maker and brought them all together. Demon Seed felt without her, they would concede. Nope, the trial is going down.
During the trial Demon Seed would not, I mean not admit his guilt. He had something to say at every turn. You just get sick looking and listening to him.
Remember GCC (another embroideress) she goes to the trial but this chick NEVER, I mean NEVER says a word.
During the trial, the following happens: - Demon Seed said Rulan retracted her petition and admitted to false accusations - Rulan's brother is the one who admits a letter to reopen the case to vindicate his sister - MW and TXL testify - LX goes to the jail to get Snake to testify against Demon Seed - Zhao (litigator and cousin to MW) who represented Rulan is called to admit that Demon Seed got him to fabricate the handkerchief with a different one and to lose the case. The maid to him testified to the change as well. - HJJ tells that she saw the Zhao leave Demon Seed - Snake comes to testify but turns the table on MW and tells them that MW was holding maidservant narc that he like and threaten her. Case was going down here right about now!
But we were not going to lose this case, hell naw! TXL tells her story: I have evidence. (She removes the top part of her clothes) Please look Mr. Lou. This plum blossom on my back is evidence. Those who know Demon Seed will understand. The plum blossoms he embroiders are unique. (Mr. Lou gets an embroidered handkerchief from the crowd and compares it to the one on her shoulder.) They are identical.
Here is TXL story: "Seven years ago, the night I met him. I wanted to leave quickly. But he seemed to have had a drink in a good mood, so he started talking about embroidery with me. When I said a falling plum blossom seemed desolated, and a plum blossom on the tree showed more dignity, it provoked his anger. In his fury, he pinned me to the embroidery table. But that wasn't enough for him. At that time, I was out of my senses, filled with despair, like the living dead. He took a needle and embroidered this plum blossom on my shoulder stitch by stitch, trying to leave this plum blossom on me for a lifetime."
Now can you imagine the pain TXL was in for him to sew, I mean sew on her body this plum blossom. Dude needs to get his for real!
MW tries to get the women to speak up, but they still won't do so. She even asks Mr. Lou to put up a screen so they can testify but he says no. Guess what? Yep, you know it without me even saying it. Demon Seed gets away.... again!!! My nerves were shot!
Episode 24: Justice Comes
Well, well, well…Mama Ning is back. She gets a decree from her majesty that exonerates her from everything with Demon Seed MW arranged it. The majesty sent a verbal order to Mr. Lou that he has to try the case to his decree. Mr. Lou ask MW if she was behind that.
After she found out that Demon Seed was sending Mama Zhang to get him official position, she had a backup plan. The embroidered cape she sewed the information into the cape to her majesty who then had the emperor give his decree to Mr. Lou. Mr. Lou goes to Yanyu Tower and all the women tell him what Demon Seed did over the years. MW also bought all their indentured servitude so they could speak freely to Mr. Lou without repercussion from Demon Seed.
See Demon Seed thought he had it in the bag, but Mr. Lou slammed him and told him that the emperor told him he could handle the case as he saw fit and to bring closure. And with that his sentence: According to the law, he is sentenced to the punishment of flogging and exiled to the northwest for three thousand miles, never to be pardoned in his lifetime.
Demon Seed gets upset with the sentence, but Mr. Lou says that the emperor said to impose the heaviest sentence that could be rendered.
MW and TXL have a good conversation about Demon Seed and her man LFC.
HJJ goes back to her old life and those that are staying at her embroidery have their identities thanks to Mama Ning.
All the lantern sayings:
MW – To accompany her to see the splendid views in the world.
Rulan – An adult girl is fearless.
LSN – Wait in the boudoir for seven years, but nothing is forgotten.
XL – Give a treasure hairpin to the hero. Ignite a candlelight.

HJJ – Pray to Silkworm Mother at the door. Worship the God of Wealth inside.
Shen Mu – The young man goes with the wind and returns in time.
Mr. Lou cleaned house and sent Chen the first prosecutor to be a magistrate.
MW goes to visit Demon Seed in jail as he does embroidery. He still doing plum blossoms with jacked up fingers.
She asks him if he ever regretted in the slightest, he never said a word.
Demon Seed heard Lady Wu call him (he was hallucinating) and tells him not to do plum blossoms anymore and to put the needle down. He starts tripping and calling Lady Wu.
Demon Seed swallowed the needle. MW hears the jailers yelling that Demon Seed swallowed he needle but she just keeps walking g out of the prison. And smiles.
MW goes to the grave of Rulan and tells her that she has paid the debt of what she gave her at the pharmacy.
She goes back to the gazebo where all the lanterns are and thinks about her friends.
XL gets his position back thanks to Mr. Lou: Shen had to go back to the Imperial Guard Bureau to face punishment; FD goes back to the convoy; HJJ is busy at the embroidery due to all the orders and hiring more people; TXL went home.
MW blew out each lantern and said they may meet again.
Episode 25: A Mere Dream
What if none of this never happened? Demon Seed life changed because the family was loving towards him. He had his mother and Lady Wu together as well as his father with him at dinners. He became a pastry chef. He headed to the capital to open up a shop. He meets Wu An aka Snake along the way which he helps.
What if they didn’t have witnesses? Showed the different life of MW and her mother. Her mother was a lot stronger and fended off her husband a lot. Their relationship was much better.
MW goes off with Xu who she married and was his only wife.
XL married and had two children by the girl he first like at the booth selling buns.
LSN this time saves her master and pays his ransom so he could leave the troupe.
Shen Mu was a fugitive. He robs from the rich and gives to the poor.
FD was an embroider.
TXL and LFC married.
As for Rulan she gets married, and she sees MW and they both feel the somehow seem familiar to each other.
You see each of the Magnificent 7 as Rulan is in the market, she turns to the camera and smiles....
A brave girl sought justice for her friend. With the help of righteous men, she forged a revenge plan.
As the ending come, everything is just like a dream. Hope it wouldn't come true even if we could never meet again.

@liarsh I am hoping not too but they are rumoring that it is. I don't know how because if you think about it there are some holes in the story. Granted I'm enjoying it but I don't know how they would push this to a second season as well.
@ErickaRamirez you will enjoy that if you like that type of drama but with Neo Hou, Bi Wen Jun and Julio Wan Yan, they alone make you want to see it. The effects are awesome. I really liked it.
@ErickaRamirez hey gurl! I just finished watching the first 10 episodes in 2 days, so I just commented for the first time yesterday and today. Good drama just needs a bit more focus.
You know I'm watching about 12...lol. I have to write a review so, I had to make sure I caught up on this one.
All and all I this drama is good. But now we really start need to be focusing on certain aspects. I mean, we are dealing with Mr. Gardener why? Ok, he killed his wife and buried her under a tree. So, he was cuckoo for cocoa puffs without drinking the potion. The potion just exasperated his craziness even more. He pushes LHJ into the pit. I guess because of the psychic link that LHJ and JSY seem to have he finds her, but she seems to have some revelation of both their past life.
But can we please (with only 4 episodes left, because we have 12 tomorrow) get to the gist of this whole curse.
Then gf, YNY, can she please get a grip and understand it is over and done with JSY. He doesn't want her and NEVER loved her. I can't get her for the life of me. She is sleeping with some other guy but yet she wants him. The other guy she is sleeping with has money too so just stop all of your tripping over JSY.
We have KJK, who I now think will be up to something to after making that comment to YNY to be thorough when you do something. Who knows who he was in their past life.
JSY says he has a photographic memory, so in hindsight he already knows what is in the, shall we say, "good spells" versus the "evil spells." He didn't see those because he told her to put those back in the box. Why did she really look at those spells to see what curse he has. No doubt it would be in there or let him look at it. At least, he would understand what he was dealing with more than he does now.
We saw nothing of the parents, and JSY's bestie from the law firm that was hanging with his mom. Which I am glad because they add nothing to the story in my opinion.

But both parents had passed several years ago. He also asks MW if she was the one sending him money. She admitted that she had because she felt it was her responsibility to do so as Rulan's friend. He agrees to attend the trial. At last, now he better not be lying and not show up.
Demon Seed threatens Mama Zhang to help him become an officer at the embroidery office or else he will let everyone know that Rong’er was not a virgin when he married her. Ruining the reputation of the Zhang family. Oh, he is going there. I can't stand him.
Episode 22: Face the Past
Demons Seed tells Mama Zhang that he will send her to the capital to talk to her relative in the ministry and to get him the director of Embroidery Office. He gets on my nerves. That smug smirk on his face. I could just slap him. Rong’er even told him her family wouldn’t help him unless he divorced her. You see how you have to negotiate with him. Mama Zhang agrees to his demands but when she comes back, he has to immediately divorce Rong’er. Demon Seed says he will provide the divorce settlement upon her successful return.
Rong’er admits to her mother all the wrongdoing that she did with Demon Seed with the girls at the Yanyu tower. That's why she is praying all the time. She thinks that will save her for what she did as well didn't do. Please.
A few days later a letter comes: "Rong’er, it’s done. You can break up with Demon Seen and return home." Damn, he still won’t give her the divorce because it takes three days for the official seal to come from the capital and to secure his position. This man! I know Rong’er can’t wait to get away from him.
Rong’er was trying to bust a move out of town back to her mother’s, but MW and LX caught her on the road. Rong'er tries to tell MW that she doesn’t know her, but they take her away in the carriage so that MW can break it down to girlfriend. Meanwhile, someone else was watching. You know who it is. That slithering snake Wu An aka Snake that works as the sidekick to Demon Seed. He is another cuckoo for cocoa puffs villain.
Oh, it is about to go down. MW took Rong’er to the nunnery to Tian Xiao Ling. Seeing her broke Rong’er down, so she started spilling her guts like a running faucet. She has another expenditure book, knows all about the dirty deeds Demon Seed did. Aww, damn that damn Snake is listening in on the conversation. She tells MW where she hid the other book which is in the Buddha Shrine. Now sidekick hears this, so you know he is busting a move to get back to get it before M6 does. Man!!!
LCF finds out that Demon Seed is holding a banquet because of his new position. MW is going to attend. Snake got the book before MW did. Dang! But he puts it back after Demon Seed decides to set a trap knowing that the M6 team will come for it. Really? Snake needs to die. They catch LCF stealing the account book. Beat him, kicked him and stabbed him in the back. You know Snake did that! MW goes to safe LCF as Demon Seed burns the pages of the account book in front of her. LX comes in and saves both of them by putting a blade to Demon Seed’s throat. They all escape but it isn't looking good for LCF. He really got jacked up.
LCF sent his letter to the nunnery telling Tian Xiaoling to meet him at the Qiqiao Festival. He asks MW to meet her because he won’t be able too. He told he has a gift prepared for her and a letter he wrote in the study. He asks her to deliver it for him and not to force her to leave the mountain if she doesn’t want too. He holds onto the rabbit lantern and dies. Then there were five.
TXL opens up the nunnery doors and sees thousands of rabbit lanterns that LFC made for her. She thinks back to when she first went to the festival with him. The Magnificent 5 come in his place and she knows that he is dead. MW holds the bloody lantern that LFC had when he died. LX gives her his letter. After reading the letter, TXL runs away crying. It was sad because her man was now gone…
Oh, then another twist. MW does a divorce settlement with her husband; well, I guess my thoughts of them getting together just went up in smoke.
Mr. Lou invited the now Magnificent 5 to dinner to let them know once Demon Seed is appointed there is nothing he can do. The key is, if the case is handed over to the Dali Court, they won’t be able to do anything. Mr. Lou and wife are leaving.
Mr. Lou's wife is ticked because she feels no justice was served. The are going back to the capital. M5 are waiting for Mr. Lou to come because MW had decided to try and have him stay. But wait...we get a surprise. TXL kneels in front of Lou’s carriage and says that Demon Seed raped her. Yes, finally!!!!
Episode 23: The Retrial of Rulan
The Magnicifent 5 are standing as are all the people as TXL and MW are kneeling in front of the Lou's carriage asking him to retry the case. He tells his wife it looks like I can't leave today. He tells them to return to the Yamen. Hold court tomorrow.
At Yanyu Tower, Demon Seed finds out about the trial from Snake, who says they need to kill TXL.
Meanwhile, MW's husband is reading the abandonment letter that MW has left him. He asks her what she means by the letter. She tells him that she just came back from the city gate. The news should come quickly. If he wants to divorce her at this time, perhaps it can protect the reputation of the Xu family. He asks her what if he refuses. She tells him back then; she insisted on marrying him as a concubine because she intended to meet Mama Ning.
For the seven years, he has treated her well, and his wife treated her like a sister. Although what she did was justified, she cannot be that selfish, making his family lose its reputation because of her. He asks her does she have to go to court. She tells him that she should have done this seven years ago. Too many people have sacrificed a lot for this. How can she back down? He says doesn't she have anything that she can give up in the Xu family. She says the seven years have been the best time of her life. He tells her that she still insists on leaving. And yes, she tells him her mind is made up. He asks her to let him write a divorce settlement for her. She tells him no that only an abandonment letter can make a clean break. She gets the pen and hands it to him. He finally agrees. I felt bad because I believe he really did love her, and she did love him in her own way. She bowed one last time and left him.
Remember the sneaky lawyer that didn’t help Rulan but Demon Seed. Well, be careful when you cross people. He came back to get him because Demon Seed didn’t keep his promise to hook him up.
MW goes to stay with HJJ because she has nowhere to go. TXL went back to the nunnery. I can’t with her. You know that Demon Seed is going to try and kill them.
Snake attacks MW but SM is nearby, and they get him. Thank goodness. Put his little slithering ass in jail. MW does get injured, but it is just a surface cut.
MW figured he was going to come after her and not TXL because she is the decision maker and brought them all together. Demon Seed felt without her, they would concede. Nope, the trial is going down.
During the trial Demon Seed would not, I mean not admit his guilt. He had something to say at every turn. You just get sick looking and listening to him.
Remember GCC (another embroideress) she goes to the trial but this chick NEVER, I mean NEVER says a word.
During the trial, the following happens:
- Demon Seed said Rulan retracted her petition and admitted to false accusations
- Rulan's brother is the one who admits a letter to reopen the case to vindicate his sister
- MW and TXL testify
- LX goes to the jail to get Snake to testify against Demon Seed
- Zhao (litigator and cousin to MW) who represented Rulan is called to admit that Demon Seed got him to fabricate the handkerchief with a different one and to lose the case. The maid to him testified to the change as well.
- HJJ tells that she saw the Zhao leave Demon Seed
- Snake comes to testify but turns the table on MW and tells them that MW was holding maidservant narc that he like and threaten her. Case was going down here right about now!
But we were not going to lose this case, hell naw! TXL tells her story: I have evidence. (She removes the top part of her clothes) Please look Mr. Lou. This plum blossom on my back is evidence. Those who know Demon Seed will understand. The plum blossoms he embroiders are unique. (Mr. Lou gets an embroidered handkerchief from the crowd and compares it to the one on her shoulder.) They are identical.
Here is TXL story: "Seven years ago, the night I met him. I wanted to leave quickly. But he seemed to have had a drink in a good mood, so he started talking about embroidery with me. When I said a falling plum blossom seemed desolated, and a plum blossom on the tree showed more dignity, it provoked his anger. In his fury, he pinned me to the embroidery table. But that wasn't enough for him. At that time, I was out of my senses, filled with despair, like the living dead. He took a needle and embroidered this plum blossom on my shoulder stitch by stitch, trying to leave this plum blossom on me for a lifetime."
Now can you imagine the pain TXL was in for him to sew, I mean sew on her body this plum blossom. Dude needs to get his for real!
MW tries to get the women to speak up, but they still won't do so. She even asks Mr. Lou to put up a screen so they can testify but he says no. Guess what? Yep, you know it without me even saying it. Demon Seed gets away.... again!!! My nerves were shot!
Episode 24: Justice Comes
Well, well, well…Mama Ning is back. She gets a decree from her majesty that exonerates her from everything with Demon Seed MW arranged it. The majesty sent a verbal order to Mr. Lou that he has to try the case to his decree. Mr. Lou ask MW if she was behind that.
After she found out that Demon Seed was sending Mama Zhang to get him official position, she had a backup plan. The embroidered cape she sewed the information into the cape to her majesty who then had the emperor give his decree to Mr. Lou.
Mr. Lou goes to Yanyu Tower and all the women tell him what Demon Seed did over the years. MW also bought all their indentured servitude so they could speak freely to Mr. Lou without repercussion from Demon Seed.
See Demon Seed thought he had it in the bag, but Mr. Lou slammed him and told him that the emperor told him he could handle the case as he saw fit and to bring closure. And with that his sentence: According to the law, he is sentenced to the punishment of flogging and exiled to the northwest for three thousand miles, never to be pardoned in his lifetime.
Demon Seed gets upset with the sentence, but Mr. Lou says that the emperor said to impose the heaviest sentence that could be rendered.
MW and TXL have a good conversation about Demon Seed and her man LFC.
HJJ goes back to her old life and those that are staying at her embroidery have their identities thanks to Mama Ning.
All the lantern sayings:
MW – To accompany her to see the splendid views in the world.
Rulan – An adult girl is fearless.
LSN – Wait in the boudoir for seven years, but nothing is forgotten.
XL – Give a treasure hairpin to the hero. Ignite a candlelight.
FD – The wilderness also has emotions.
TXL – Troubled by worldly affairs, seeking tranquility in the mountains.
HJJ – Pray to Silkworm Mother at the door. Worship the God of Wealth inside.
Shen Mu – The young man goes with the wind and returns in time.
Mr. Lou cleaned house and sent Chen the first prosecutor to be a magistrate.
MW goes to visit Demon Seed in jail as he does embroidery. He still doing plum blossoms with jacked up fingers.
She asks him if he ever regretted in the slightest, he never said a word.
Demon Seed heard Lady Wu call him (he was hallucinating) and tells him not to do plum blossoms anymore and to put the needle down. He starts tripping and calling Lady Wu.
Demon Seed swallowed the needle. MW hears the jailers yelling that Demon Seed swallowed he needle but she just keeps walking g out of the prison. And smiles.
MW goes to the grave of Rulan and tells her that she has paid the debt of what she gave her at the pharmacy.
She goes back to the gazebo where all the lanterns are and thinks about her friends.
XL gets his position back thanks to Mr. Lou: Shen had to go back to the Imperial Guard Bureau to face punishment; FD goes back to the convoy; HJJ is busy at the embroidery due to all the orders and hiring more people; TXL went home.
MW blew out each lantern and said they may meet again.
Episode 25: A Mere Dream
What if none of this never happened?
Demon Seed life changed because the family was loving towards him. He had his mother and Lady Wu together as well as his father with him at dinners. He became a pastry chef. He headed to the capital to open up a shop. He meets Wu An aka Snake along the way which he helps.
What if they didn’t have witnesses?
Showed the different life of MW and her mother. Her mother was a lot stronger and fended off her husband a lot. Their relationship was much better.
MW goes off with Xu who she married and was his only wife.
XL married and had two children by the girl he first like at the booth selling buns.
LSN this time saves her master and pays his ransom so he could leave the troupe.
Shen Mu was a fugitive. He robs from the rich and gives to the poor.
FD was an embroider.
TXL and LFC married.
As for Rulan she gets married, and she sees MW and they both feel the somehow seem familiar to each other.
You see each of the Magnificent 7 as Rulan is in the market, she turns to the camera and smiles....
A brave girl sought justice for her friend. With the help of righteous men, she forged a revenge plan.
As the ending come, everything is just like a dream. Hope it wouldn't come true even if we could never meet again.

You know I'm watching about 12...lol. I have to write a review so, I had to make sure I caught up on this one.
But can we please (with only 4 episodes left, because we have 12 tomorrow) get to the gist of this whole curse.
Then gf, YNY, can she please get a grip and understand it is over and done with JSY. He doesn't want her and NEVER loved her. I can't get her for the life of me. She is sleeping with some other guy but yet she wants him. The other guy she is sleeping with has money too so just stop all of your tripping over JSY.
We have KJK, who I now think will be up to something to after making that comment to YNY to be thorough when you do something. Who knows who he was in their past life.
JSY says he has a photographic memory, so in hindsight he already knows what is in the, shall we say, "good spells" versus the "evil spells." He didn't see those because he told her to put those back in the box. Why did she really look at those spells to see what curse he has. No doubt it would be in there or let him look at it. At least, he would understand what he was dealing with more than he does now.
We saw nothing of the parents, and JSY's bestie from the law firm that was hanging with his mom. Which I am glad because they add nothing to the story in my opinion.
