When she told him she was pregnant, epic! All the last minutes of episode 19 were so loving...this couple is really in sync. He knows her so well and she know him. Great casting with these two.
Episode 20 -There is a delay for the flight at the airport so Lu Chen decides they will get married while there is this delay. Lu Chen and Gui Xiao get to there, but the line is backed up. So, the first couple in line gives them their spot and everyone moves one back for them. Their marriage certificate picture looks so cute. They are married and look so happy. They think back to when they were younger, and she grabs his hand from behind...I cannot with this drama.
She goes for her pregnancy checkup. Lu Chen is waiting anxiously, staring at the door. Jumps up when she comes out and she is definitely pregnant!
Basically, Bu got thrown in jail for trying to start "restoration" which failed miserably. Yurong is trying to save him but to no avail.
She went to Wu Bao Yi whose father is also implicated but she would not budge in helping her.
Zhao just told her that she needs to worry about herself and face the facts that this was of his own doing. Gives her a gun and walks out telling her he is going to Beijing.
Yurong goes back to Beijing to see her father the prince for help. She was able to see Bu who has told her to forget about him and have a good life.
Zhao's father is looking at his bestie to feed him information on what is going on with Zhao. He also had him meet Yurong at the train station and bring her back to him to tell her that Bu can get off if he implicates the Wu family. She declines the offer. (I really thought he would say something about Zhao wanting to marry her)
Pretty average episodes. Yurong works your nerves with trying to be so perfect. I mean the scene of her walking not once but twice in the rain was too much. The one rain scene made no sense. The servant had told her it was going to rain but she chooses not to take an umbrella as a downpour ensues. Now, of course here comes Zhao who comes to her rescue because she is lying on the sidewalk as the rain pounds down on her and there is NO ONE else on the street. He helps her to his car and starts to remove his jacket because she is soaked, and he tells her is trying to help. He then gives her, his shirt and gets out of the car. Huh? It is raining so he is standing in the rain while she is putting on his shirt and tells him it is ok for him to get back in. Next thing you know both of them are completely dry with a totally different set of clothes while she is looking at a new place to live with Zhao.
I have watched the first five episodes already. Here is the breakdown.
It starts off in the Qing Dynasty. Yurong is a Princess. She meets Bu Ri Gu De who is a family friend of her fathers. They meet as they are putting two jade balls for eyes of a snowman.
Yurong the next day hears a kitten and goes after it because it is injured. These boys see her and start bullying her. Zhao Zheng steps in and defends her. She is probably about 10 and he is maybe 15/16.
Zhao Zheng while trying to defend Yurong gets cut by one of the boys. Yurong tends to Zhao's wound and wraps it with her handkerchief. It was love at first sight They pinkie swear that they will get married and also meet the next day. He also gives her his jade pendant.
Zhao beats up a general's son whose father comes to see Zhao's father and tell him what he did. Zhao tells him they were bullying a girl and his father doesn't discipline him but instead is proud and tells him that he is man enough to drink.
Now instead of letting it go, Zhao goes after the boy that evening. He tells him to stop reporting everything to his dad. Zhao is all dressed the next day to go and see Yurong. As he is ready to leave his father stops him. The general is back and this time he tells Zhao's father that he will be leaving the city as well as his son. Zhao had to leave right then not giving him an opportunity to see Yurong. As they were leaving, he screamed saying the "girl with the cat." Yurong hears the yelling and goes to see where it was coming from, but it was too late, Zhao was pulled back into the carriage as Yurong watch it go away.
Yurong had told Zhao that she would go every day to the same spot until he came. She did that consistently until she was, I think around 18. He had given her his jade pendant which she still carried with her in exchange for the handkerchief. Yurong decided since she was going to a new town to go and study to be a doctor, so she decided (which is the same town Zhao is in) to put an ad in the newspaper for the "hero who saved the woman with a cat."
Now, here where it gets crazy. Bu (the family friend) is now living with Yurong, and they have married. (No, this was a sham marriage) Yurong calls him cousin all the time but in Bu's mind they are husband and wife which never happened. They sleep in separate rooms. Yurong has no attraction to him whatsoever. Enter Wu Bao Yi who likes Bu. She is a friend of both Yurong and Bu.
Yurong, Bu and Wu Bao Yi are all going to the university. Yurong wants to be a doctor.
Zhao has now become a general of a smaller army, but his main job is a director at the university. He meets Yurong as they are at a cocktail party. He notices Yurong and she seems familiar to him, but he is not sure. Wu Bao Yi knows of Zhao and his family because they are from families of generals. She does not like Zhao at all. She starts telling Yurong and Bu stories of how he is "Devil Zhao."
Zhao gives a talk to everyone and ask Yurong to dance. While dancing he ask her name and finds out it's her. He literally stops dancing. Bu jumps in and grabs her from him. Zhao is trying to process all of this. He finds out that his father never let any of his letters be sent to Yurong. So, he couldn't blame her for not responding.
But she finally realizes who he is in episode 2. A girl gets attack and Yurong hears it and goes to help (like she could do anything) but the attacker comes after her. Zhao comes and helps. They take the girl to the hospital. As he is talking to Yurong, he sees that her wrist is scraped up. He takes out the handkerchief she gave him, and she knows at last that this is the boy she has been looking for. Zhao says, "At last you know me" and kisses her as fireworks go off behind them.
Other highlights: - Zhao lets the photographer who took the picture of him, and Yurong kissing be put it in the paper which causes high drama. Yurong goes around to collect all the newspapers to burn them because she is embarrassed by the picture. - Yurong goes to buy gloves (for the boy of her past - before she knew it was Zhao). Bu sees the gloves and misinterprets they are for him. - Another photo of Zhao and Yurong gets in the paper. - Sheng Jiao Jiao the fiancé of Zhao interrupts an assembly to tell everyone that she is Zhao's fiancé and not Yurong. This was chaos. Then Bu spoke telling everyone they were married. Zhao told everyone that he didn't care if she was married. They were in love, and she was the only woman for him now or ever. -Wu Bao Yi becomes an enemy of Yurong when she finds out that her and Bu are married (ok not) and she never told her. Even though she was getting ready to, it was too late. - Bu gets a ring to officially propose to Yurong which she rejects him. He loses it and blames everything of how she has changed on Zhao. He says that she wants power, and he will get it and make everything his hence him joining up with his father to change the republic. - Zhao's father has made a marriage arrangement with another powerful family for Zhao to marry into. Sheng Jiao Jiao is the girl, but he has told her he will not marry her. She has a breakdown and is looking at her father to make the marriage still happen.
After watching these 5 episodes, I can see there will be a lot of will she or won't she where Zhao is concerned. I know that she has definitely broke it off with Bu to the point she was moving out and he told her he would and let her stay. We still don't have the backstory of her family drama yet.
I believe that Bu and Wu Bao Yi are going to team up against Zhao and Yurong because basically WBY doesn't like Zhao and Bu feels he took Yurong from him, even though she never loved him. I mean she told him that she always had feelings for the boy when she was younger and continued to look for him. He just turned deaf ears on him.
But WBY is looking to me in my opinion, too old for someone in the university. The pigtails they put on her do not help. Good acting so far. I just wish they would make Yurong a bit stronger and stop her from being so weak but that may come in time. Glimpses are peeking through.
The tension between the Crown Prince and Jae Yi is electrifying. I love it!!!
I could not stop laughing when he tried to guess who she is in love with.
Jae Yi: "It is someone very stupid. I always send sparks with loving looks, but he has no idea. He is intelligent but he is a dimwit who does not know how to read the air. Saying that now makes me wonder now why I like him." Crown Prince: "Why do you like someone so pathetic? " Jae Yi: "It's up to me. Its' my heart. It belongs to me. It's none of your business." CP: It is your heart and your life. Do whatever you wish."
I don't know about you all, but I cannot help but smile watching this drama. I mean it really is too much.
I loved seeing his whole command and the teasing they did with him. The way they embraced Gui Xiao. It was so nice to hear the stories that is helping her to better understand his world and the things he's done. She really is a perfect fit for him because she is very easy going and just naturally fits in and it's not forced.
I did have to tear up (I hate goodbyes) to see them all sending him off.
Lu Chen and Gui Xiao are such a perfect couple. The kisses are so genuine and real again, you can't help but be captured by these two. So romantic. To see how Lu Chen just opens up more and more when he is around her just makes your heart sing and be so elated not just for her but him as well.
But can he please be my "Mr. Clean" at my house. I would definitely be like Gui Xiao and smiling watching him clean, do the laundry, cooking and carrying me upstairs (ok, that might be a bit much).
Episode 16 we get to see the official break up. He looks so traumatized in the snow crying. Episode 17 that kiss and how she gives him the ring. I'm done! Isn't he looking too fine, black shirt all button down low, and he says, "Since we are getting married, I have more to say to steady morale." Go in for the kiss...whew!
Seriously Gui Xiao's father is telling her that she can't marry Lu Chen? I mean they are in there 30s and it has been 10 years that they haven't been together. They are so lucky to have this chance and the dad I think is going to find a way to mess it up especially when he hears about the upcoming wedding.
I think when the one guy came to tell her that he wouldn't be back he made her more anxious by not saying anything and running away. I get it that it is confidential, but he made it worse. Who wouldn't have stomach issues after that?
I can't wait till the other commander gets to meet Duan Rou who is taking care of his son. I think I'm feeling a romance here.
I loved when she met all of the guys in his command. It was so adorable...sister-in-law! Loved it. And him running with her and saying she needed to eat more. God Bless him, he would say, I have to eat less...lol!
I was wondering when he sent the text message if the mother would respond back and upset Gui Xiao. I see he does tell his dad in the next episode that he is getting married and for him to stay out of his life and family.

Yes, this is like a good puzzle that you want to figure out but realistically they could have just done a movie at this point...lol!
But her brother is going to be upset once he finds out that HT is his sister but again, he is being fed information probably by cane lady so he will be her adversary because he believes that she left him. All based on cane lady's lies. I mean she has had years to groom him like her own son.
Pyo Jae is a piece. All of his dealings are too much. I mean he had to know everything that is going on with DoJin and Yura. He knows everything that leads me to believe that he really does know more about HT then he is letting on. I'm waiting for a major confession by him. Such to the point that he will be threatening her to go along with everything he does with the campaign. He will probably tell her he knew who she was all along but thought she would never remember. That's another thing, when is she going to tell him she has her memory. HaeSoo is going to tell that if she doesn't of her own volution.
Now HaeSoo is wrong to blame HT for killing her father because if you think about this, there could have been another shooter. Hello??? @Love movies Yes, because to me it has to be one of two people either 102 (her brother/bodyguard) or the other guy that works for DoJin's dad. I don't think it is Pyo Jae because he did get a call but why would he be stupid enough to go out when he knows he is a candidate, and anyone can be watching him.
He may of called 102 (brother/bodyguard) because he isn't with his wife which if I were the husband would ask where everyone is. I have never seen people so uninterested in where their family members are.
Yes, he is under control of the cane lady. But we still need to know what happened to the brother. And does the brother know that is his sister. She doesn't have the same face, so I am assuming he doesn't. Then if anything she should kind of know what her brother would look like older.
So, I knew that the bodyguard was going to be her brother after he held onto her hand so long. Verification came when he went in the bathroom and when he opened the shirt my theory was right. But I thought his number was 101 but whatever. We need to see how her brother survived after the accident. She really thought she saw he died but since she went over into the water, she never knew but thought he was alive.
Now Pyo Jae has just been put on blast. His partners know everything, but the question is what was the bet they made on the motorcycle ride? Then also who tampered with the brakes but everyone else had no issues. We know that DoJin took the bikes for gas but did someone while he was putting in the gas mess with them? I don't think that Pyo Jae killed Yura and neither of the partners did. It could be the bodyguard for DoJin's dad. I mean he screwed up, so he needs to redeem himself. It also can be the brother because Pyo Jae got a call. That call could have been from the partner letting him know that Yura had the drive. He could have told Pyo Jae which directions she was headed to and sent the brother to kill her. Pyo Jae cannot get his hands dirty and too many eyes are on him, so this is also a good option. But dang, did they have to hang her body then lightning strikes the tree, and she burns up.
I am sick of HaeSoo. She is a reporter, and she needs to get all the facts before she goes all crazy. But her revenge is so obvious. Think about how you want to approach it before you go all cray-cray. I mean in the interview is when she should break her down.

She should have had the guy that was sent that night to delete this or better yet why wasn't the information deleted and she kept a copy to cover herself when everything goes down? You know they have to blame someone else here.
Because he was thinking when you delete data it is never thoroughly deleted hence him taking the data and burning it. But again, where did the fire pit come from? Why didn't he take it home and burn at his place and this way verify no one would get it. Now, his partner gets it from I guess that's his dad that had someone following him. And how did the guy get? Wasn't the pit outside?
Now that is a possibility that Pyo Jae did do that, but I think that he might have had a plan and someone else beat him to it...which I believe was her brother.

Ok, so what is the deal with Ken NOT being able to fight. The fight in episode 5 was beyond pathetic. I mean the typical take the body and run them down the food table. And everyone is just standing there watching the fight not calling the cops or even the hotel staff doesn't come. With all the training Ken did, it didn't help him that much. He gets his butt kicked all the time.
Is there any other body part they can go to on Ken besides his neck? I mean it should have snapped off at this point or mainly jacked up his voice box.
Well Peter gets shot, yes shot and Ken just leaves him and goes after the other guy. Like who freakin' cares about the guy. Peter has saved him numerous times and Ken is going after the other guy when we all know you can't fight well at all.

I believe that Bu and Wu Bao Yi are going to team up against Zhao and Yurong because basically WBY doesn't like Zhao and Bu feels he took Yurong from him, even though she never loved him. I mean she told him that she always had feelings for the boy when she was younger and continued to look for him. He just turned deaf ears on him.
But WBY is looking to me in my opinion, too old for someone in the university. The pigtails they put on her do not help. Good acting so far. I just wish they would make Yurong a bit stronger and stop her from being so weak but that may come in time. Glimpses are peeking through.

I don't know about you all, but I cannot help but smile watching this drama. I mean it really is too much.
I loved seeing his whole command and the teasing they did with him. The way they embraced Gui Xiao. It was so nice to hear the stories that is helping her to better understand his world and the things he's done. She really is a perfect fit for him because she is very easy going and just naturally fits in and it's not forced.
I did have to tear up (I hate goodbyes) to see them all sending him off.
Lu Chen and Gui Xiao are such a perfect couple. The kisses are so genuine and real again, you can't help but be captured by these two. So romantic. To see how Lu Chen just opens up more and more when he is around her just makes your heart sing and be so elated not just for her but him as well.
But can he please be my "Mr. Clean" at my house. I would definitely be like Gui Xiao and smiling watching him clean, do the laundry, cooking and carrying me upstairs (ok, that might be a bit much).
Episode 16 we get to see the official break up. He looks so traumatized in the snow crying.
Episode 17 that kiss and how she gives him the ring. I'm done! Isn't he looking too fine, black shirt all button down low, and he says, "Since we are getting married, I have more to say to steady morale." Go in for the kiss...whew!
Seriously Gui Xiao's father is telling her that she can't marry Lu Chen? I mean they are in there 30s and it has been 10 years that they haven't been together. They are so lucky to have this chance and the dad I think is going to find a way to mess it up especially when he hears about the upcoming wedding.
I think when the one guy came to tell her that he wouldn't be back he made her more anxious by not saying anything and running away. I get it that it is confidential, but he made it worse. Who wouldn't have stomach issues after that?
I can't wait till the other commander gets to meet Duan Rou who is taking care of his son. I think I'm feeling a romance here.
I loved when she met all of the guys in his command. It was so adorable...sister-in-law! Loved it. And him running with her and saying she needed to eat more. God Bless him, he would say, I have to eat less...lol!
I was wondering when he sent the text message if the mother would respond back and upset Gui Xiao. I see he does tell his dad in the next episode that he is getting married and for him to stay out of his life and family.

Pyo Jae is a piece. All of his dealings are too much. I mean he had to know everything that is going on with DoJin and Yura. He knows everything that leads me to believe that he really does know more about HT then he is letting on. I'm waiting for a major confession by him. Such to the point that he will be threatening her to go along with everything he does with the campaign. He will probably tell her he knew who she was all along but thought she would never remember. That's another thing, when is she going to tell him she has her memory. HaeSoo is going to tell that if she doesn't of her own volution.
Now HaeSoo is wrong to blame HT for killing her father because if you think about this, there could have been another shooter. Hello??? HT only thought she did it or they made it look from the angle of the shot it was her. I want to know why they took her and her brother in the first place. Did I miss something as to who their parents were.?
Yes, because to me it has to be one of two people either 102 (her brother/bodyguard) or the other guy that works for DoJin's dad. I don't think it is Pyo Jae because he did get a call but why would he be stupid enough to go out when he knows he is a candidate, and anyone can be watching him.
He may of called 102 (brother/bodyguard) because he isn't with his wife which if I were the husband would ask where everyone is. I have never seen people so uninterested in where their family members are.
Yes, he is under control of the cane lady. But we still need to know what happened to the brother. And does the brother know that is his sister. She doesn't have the same face, so I am assuming he doesn't. Then if anything she should kind of know what her brother would look like older.
So, I knew that the bodyguard was going to be her brother after he held onto her hand so long. Verification came when he went in the bathroom and when he opened the shirt my theory was right. But I thought his number was 101 but whatever. We need to see how her brother survived after the accident. She really thought she saw he died but since she went over into the water, she never knew but thought he was alive.
Now Pyo Jae has just been put on blast. His partners know everything, but the question is what was the bet they made on the motorcycle ride? Then also who tampered with the brakes but everyone else had no issues. We know that DoJin took the bikes for gas but did someone while he was putting in the gas mess with them? I don't think that Pyo Jae killed Yura and neither of the partners did. It could be the bodyguard for DoJin's dad. I mean he screwed up, so he needs to redeem himself. It also can be the brother because Pyo Jae got a call. That call could have been from the partner letting him know that Yura had the drive. He could have told Pyo Jae which directions she was headed to and sent the brother to kill her. Pyo Jae cannot get his hands dirty and too many eyes are on him, so this is also a good option. But dang, did they have to hang her body then lightning strikes the tree, and she burns up.
I am sick of HaeSoo. She is a reporter, and she needs to get all the facts before she goes all crazy. But her revenge is so obvious. Think about how you want to approach it before you go all cray-cray. I mean in the interview is when she should break her down.

Now the cane lady still wants to kill HT. But she still needs to know who really called the shots. We still have "eye patch" that wants his revenge too since cane lady booted him out.
DoJin's dad is now going to start manipulating him to come to his side. He must need Hatch to try and generate the mind of the son that is in a coma. But it is neat to see when the mother puts on the glasses he is standing there and talking like he is right beside her.
She should have had the guy that was sent that night to delete this or better yet why wasn't the information deleted and she kept a copy to cover herself when everything goes down? You know they have to blame someone else here.
Because he was thinking when you delete data it is never thoroughly deleted hence him taking the data and burning it. But again, where did the fire pit come from? Why didn't he take it home and burn at his place and this way verify no one would get it. Now, his partner gets it from I guess that's his dad that had someone following him. And how did the guy get? Wasn't the pit outside?
Now that is a possibility that Pyo Jae did do that, but I think that he might have had a plan and someone else beat him to it...which I believe was her brother.

Him being the Crown Prince is cracking me up. He sent Prince Y the opposite direction while they went the right way to meet both princesses. Princess J is a hoot! She is in the middle of all of Liu Li lies. Too funny.

Well Peter gets shot, yes shot and Ken just leaves him and goes after the other guy. Like who freakin' cares about the guy. Peter has saved him numerous times and Ken is going after the other guy when we all know you can't fight well at all.
