I don’t relate to the office life but I still love and appreciate this drama. The values of ‘ordinary jackpot’ are universal and can be aapplied anywhere.
Love the ending. Somehow the drama feels gentle and heartwarming. It’s about ordinary life, ordinary people doing their ordinary jobs, trying to do their best. Nothing too dramatic, no villains, no big plot twists. But still interesting to watch. Love that Eun Tae’s first thought was about his team member when he was offered a gift by the CEO. The music are nice too.
mido has done a lot of questionable things in the relationship and i truly don't believe she is the better one…
Agree. It’s scary actually the manipulation technique Taesung used on Mido. Now in the middle of the heat of Cornell7 case. It should put into perspective how the bystanders are also guilty.
I don’t particularly love this drama. But I can objectively appreciate it. The story, the directing, the cinematography, the characters with all their flaws, and of course the acting. Why should I take it personally like some people commenting here. If there’s a something good I can take from the story, I will keep it as a lesson. If not, then it’s fine. But judging from all kinds of comments here, I think this drama achieve something important. That is to create a discussion. To provoke emotion. To make people think ‘what if this happens to me’?

Have you watched Love Affairs in the Afternoon (Park Ha Sun and Lee Sang Yeob)? If people can put away their judgment first, it’s a beautiful (but painful) drama. I will also recommend Secret Love Affair (Yoo Ah In and Kim Hee Ae). Basically almost all of Ahn Pan Seok’s works are unconventional, slightly controversial relationships.
Ahn Eun Jin and Seo Kang Joon’s acting are very good. You can feel their emotions. The scene with Namgoong’s mother stood out in particular. And I’m happy that Ahn Eun Jin is back in her top form. I put Dynamite Kiss as a mistake for her. Or maybe she was just trying another genre. But she’s better with complicated characters and challenging roles. The weakest link for me is Lee Joo Ahn. I can’t connect with his acting.
Episode 6 is so good. Some scenes give me the same vibes as My Mister, like the ones with Mido’s brothers. Maybe because it’s a bit depressing. The scenes when Mido saved Namgoong when they were little are so cute and heartwarming. You can see that they love each other wholeheartedly for a long time. But even for long time married couples there will always be problems, misunderstandings, and temptations. There will be regrets and disappointment, heartbreak and anger, but there will be also forgiveness. Or moving on which is a divorce. I think this drama is good in making us thinking and reflecting on our own relationships.
I guess moral of the story is, even if you win a lottery, you still need to go to work. Just like the title in Korean. Lotto Winner Also Goes to Work. How many stories we read about lottery winner that go bankrupt quickly after they spend their winning carelessly.
