Apart from Titanic and Basic Instinct references, the mudflat fight is similar to the scene in Jealousy Incarnate drama (Dare to Dream). It’s hilarious
I was wondering about their age. So if I’m not mistaken, Jeong Suk is about 35 (her Mom said she’s been in the village since before Jeong Suk was born 35 years ago), and Do Hyeon is about 30 as he was born when the arsons happened. But he looks like his real age though , a hot Ajusshi
This drama is made mostly for Lee Se Young to flex her fluent Japanese 😁. Love the cinematography also. But…
That’s why when the final scene was when they running together back in Japan, I thought “That’s all? Is that it?”. It took them 5 years to acknowledge their mistakes and then they go back to the place where she felt lonely. Ok hopefully they learned from experience. But I can’t help feeling skeptical.

I know from my own experience, living abroad all my adult life, it can be very lonely and stressful. Even though I’m busy raising my own family, but I always miss my home country, my parents and my siblings. So I do understand Hong’s feelings.
Currently rewatching Kill Me Heal Me and pleasantly surprised that now I can recognize Choi Won Young (Ajusshi/Juwon’s Dad) as Secretary Ahn there. Only difference is his hair and the mole in his chin is gone now 😁😁
