I don’t understand why someone said that only Kpop fans still enjoying this drama. I’m sorry but I don’t even know who are the Kpop idols in this drama. I love the story, the characters’ development, the acting from the senior actors. And I love the messages about family, redemption and forgiveness. How we all need healing process to be better persons. OK I wasn’t impressed by the younger actors in the beginning but still they weren’t annoying and they got better by the last few episodes. Mother and daughter relationship is beautiful. It’s definitely worth watching. Especially if you like family theme drama.
Anyway, after craving for days I finally ordered tteokbokki from a Korean restaurant today and it’s quite nice . I’m sure it’s made from rice because it’s chewy. To be honest I didn’t know that they also make it from flour.
Episode 9 is beautiful. Mother and daughter relationship taking a meaningful turn, an important milestone for both of them. They were both slowly realizing that they were too dependent on each other before. The scene where Ae Yeon cried in Mi Rae’s empty room hits me deep and made me shed a tear too. I can relate because my children are also flying the nest one by one. As much as I’m proud of them for being independent, I also still love it when they come home and tell me about how tough is their world or how tired they were. Back to the drama, I also like how Mi Rae and Tae Pyeong are honest with their feelings, and Tae Pyeong gently getting her ready for the next step of their relationship.
They should put Life in the genre, so people would not complain so much that it’s slow and boring. For me this is moving with the right pace and kind of healing. Because life is not always exciting but it always gives you lessons.
