This is the first drama that makes me laugh so much after a long time. It’s so refreshing but also makes me sad sometimes. Not sad sad like Thirty Nine but just wistful. The Ae Ran story is too realistic.
Just realized that the writernim is the same with Thirty Nine, which I love. The camping scene resemble the one in that drama. So maybe this is the male version of 39 with the friendship of three 40 something men 😁.
Getting more interesting. Only I don’t like watching Jeon Bae Soo as an antagonist. I’m used to him being a nice person like when he’s Attorney Woo’s Dad, lol
I’m usually fine with age gap romance, if the couple is convincing. I like Secret Love Affair with Yoo Ah In and Kim Hee Ae even though they’re more than 20 years apart in that story. I can also tolerate the cheesiness in Romance is A Bonus Book because somehow they suit each other. But here I don’t know, they just look awkward. Sure Jeon Do Yeon is an amazing actress but maybe this is not her genre. I respect her acting in A Man and A Woman, she and Gong Yoo are very convincing there. So it’s not because of her looks that I found her strange in this drama. I droppped this at ep 12, lucky for me so I don’t have to watch another awkward love story of the brother and the best friend. Even Kyung Ho’s handsomeness couldn’t help it for me. But I love love Roh Yoon Seo since Our Blues. I might watch the last episode just for her. Or maybe I just look for the shorts of her in YouTube 😁
Reminds me of Loony in Prison Playbook. For the whole 20 episodes I keep wondering why they sent him to jail instead of the rehab. How he struggled by himself and how in the end he just couldn’t help it and back to square one.
