You're a painfully typical Cql only "fan" not interested in learning the truth and just parroting fake news. You can watch Yang Xia's interview and check if she mentioned anything about "rejecting" Yibo. Btw, acting in one BL drama doesn't define anyone's plans for the future acting career. Moving on to other genres and picking more mainstream projects is only natural. If you choose to believe your made up theories over Yibo's own words then it just means that you're projecting your hate towards co-called "propaganda" onto him. I'm not an experienced c-drama stan but I think I know enough about c-ent in general to answer. Movie circle in China is notoriously difficult to enter, not to mention getting good cakes. It's something a lot of celebs want but can't achieve. Obviously there's no way that it would affect Yibo's career negatively, considering his own ambitions. After all he wants to be a serious mainstream actor.

You don't even have to be an active fan of someone to have your biases. But you not only watched dramas of that actor, but also his two variety shows and a short film. Anyway, even if you weren't his 'fan' your opinion is biased anyway. You said that no one outside China have seen that movie yet. But you're going out of your way to defend a 'freedom of speech' of person who criticized Yibo while calling out fans for saying otherwise. So from your pov only someone bashing Yibo has the right to express themselves freely. If fans mention Yibo being praised by professionals they're the ones on the wrong. Assuming that no one here watched the movie, fans at least can support their claims with opinions of movie critics and it's valid enough while haters only have their negative bias and nothing substantial to support those claims.
PS You have watched much more than me, but I saw you giving exceptionally low ratings to some dramas that are already classics recognized both by critics and viewers as masterpieces. People may have different tastes, but watching more movies/dramas doesn't make you an expert.

First of all, your comment lacked the basic logic. It's like you say Yibo isn't as good as Tony, so it's alright to downgrade Yibo's acting skills. Obviously, Tony is an unquestionable legend and an acclaimed senior actor, so judging Yibo's skills based on comparision with Tony doesn't make sense to begin with. Personally I don't think that there's any young actor in c-ent who's skills could be on par with Tony's. He's a role model for all young actors. Yibo's fans know very well that Yibo is still progressing which is natural considering his age and experience. We're not delusional.
You can also drop your concerned passerby act. It's easy enough to check who's fan you are. Let's see, you rated Yibo's drama 1,5/10 after two episodes, and you know, I get that not everyone has to enjoy all Yibo's dramas, but at the same time you rated 10/10 almost all dramas of a certain ex co-star of Yibo. Then you come to preach here while your bias is more than obvious. Sorry, your opinions are neither needed nor wanted. Better don't concern yourself with Yibo or his projects.
Critics can be bought? Obviously, according to you if they praise Yibo they must be bought. You're disrespecting actual industry professionals with important status accusing them of getting bribed. As far as I know no one here said that Yibo's acting is equal to Tony's? I don't know why would you even mention that for no reason. Basically it seems like you got pressed over people defending Yibo's acting, why do you care?
