I am not going to get political on this platform. But my only comment is that if America is such a bad place,…
Specifically replying to Douglas. Demanding that your county stop committing wars and genocide in the name of profit and with your tax dollars isn’t something to be shamed or shunned for. The country would benefit if these mindless nationalists took your own advice and self deported to the nearest dictatorship instead of demanding a blind eye to corruption and cruelty. Grow up.
Your responses read as dismissive and casually dishonest. Since you missed the update: fat people are not the brunt of jokes. They’re people who have the same feelings that you have.
I really did not like this drama at all. I think I'm inspired to write my first review. Since so many people are raving over its perfection, I feel almost obligated to stop at least one person from wasting 28 hours of their time.
Beware of imminent disappointment! The high rating is very misleading and I'm very upset about how terribly dreadful…
I was also very disappointed by the story. The acting was really subpar... Seriously, stop it with the scrunched up faces with no tears or a single tear rolling down.
There were also major holes in the story like the fact that since Kang To donned the mask to avenge his father's death (after he already killed Shunji's brother), why the heck did it take him so long to get back to that task? After Mok Dan got taken for the umpteenth time, it didn't occur to her to actually leave and take her friends with her? She couldn't see the future kidnappings/torture sessions coming? My biggest beef: the sloppy advocacy for young men to die for the one cause dreamed up by old men but not another cause simply because of patriotism. All those brilliant minds and that was the best they came up with? The show had so much potential but it fell flat due to lazy writing and crappy acting.
I really think that the uncle is going to make Chang Min marry Ah Reum. He is going to use the favor for that.…
I doubt that the dad would do that. I think he treats the mom the way he does because of what she did to their son's marriage and her general social-ladder-climbing nastiness.
Am I the only one who feels bad for the empress? Her life is f***ed up because of the emperor, he acted like he…
Are you forgetting what she did to Consort Park, her retinue and the nuns? Nobody forced her to do that. She also chose to be mean to the palace staff from the beginning too. Remember that in the beginning she called her attendant dog Face instead of bothering to learn her name. She's always been cruel and uncaring but look at the man who raised her; she has no moral compass.
Truthfully, I'm starting to dislike Yang too but I have zero sympathy for Tanascreechy.
It still bothers me... a lot... that Nyang has moved on with the emperor after basically being married to Wang Yu and having his child. It feels icky and Western and not what I watch K-dramas for (I'm American and hate American television shows for this same reason).
The writers are doing their best to smooth the transition from one man to the next but I can't wrap my heart around her union with TH after I already invested my loyalty in her relationship with Wang Yu and the justifications for the man-switch just aren't there for me. Maybe if Wang Yu had truly betrayed or failed her then I'd understand but he's a good, loyal and protective man who truly loves her. This love triangle weakens and cheapens her character and makes me dislike Nyang instead of cheering for her happiness. She seems more like an opportunist than a heroine who's forced into the role.
I remember dropping this because of HGI... KSH was amazing but i just couldn't continue :( I'd say the highlight…
I had the same reaction to the lead the first time. Then I re-watched it a few weeks ago with the more focus on the story since the transition to HGI wasn't as jarring. The story carries itself well enough on its own and KSH made the re-watch well worth it. Try it again. You may be surprised this time around.
Really? A fractured collarbone from a semi-abrupt stop at a red light? Are Jin Hee's bones made of glass? I get…
It wasn't just from the stop. The real damage came from the chain strap of her bag which was between the seatbelt and her collarbone. They said as much in the show.

P.S. I was glad when Mok Dan finally died.
