Yea tones are disturbing especially when they can affect the meaning as well.... My native language doesn't have tones neither does English have these so it gets especially harder ...What is ur native language tho?

Cantonese sound very very different tho.. haha it's kinda good that they don't have tones, accents and dialects in Taiwan.. i hv been slowly slowly learning Mandarin and the tones give me a hard time.. Oh so u are also a foreigner? I thought u were a native.. tehn how did u learn the language?
