Tbh idk a thing abt GPG but from what you said the ending must have been disappointing so the starting of this might give u a good ending.. Anyway as far as the overall vibe of this drama is concerned it seems to be a happy and light one with little angst and a HE...

Also qi pa is just amazing neither pushover nor a proud shrew... Not a damsel in distress.. smart cute and funny... Hongxiu is also very cute... Liu Jun also seems good.. All the characters seem likable...
