Yeah that's true, it only takes an episode or even a scene to ruin an otherwise great drama, but a horrible drama can't be redeemed by just one episode.

Of course I'm watching Empress Ki! How could I not when it has Ha Ji Won!? It's good, but it isn't awesome. I doubt I'll like it that much, because like you said, 50 episodes is too much.
If you want to watch a historical drama, I recommend you start with Gu Family Book or Arang and the Magistrate. If you watch something too long you might end up not liking it and blaming it on all historicals!

Seeing him here after having watched and loved City Hunter makes me sad.

I didn't even know it was against the rules, there's always loads of reviews even with just 2 episodes out, never seen any admin/mod saying anything about it.

A lot of people hated IRIS 2, it really wasn't bad, it just wasn't the same as IRIS, which is what people expected after waiting years for it to air.
Looking at your list, Warrior Baek Dong Soo is probably not that much of a good idea, specially having 29 episodes. There are other historical dramas you would probably prefer =P
Sadly a lot of dramas suffer from that fate, being 16 episodes would benefit a lot of them greatly, specially Romantic Comedies because things tend to get repetitive.

Of course it was worth than 7th Grade Civil Servant. Most of the dramas were though. 7GCS top 5 2013!

The original IRIS was great and even better than IRIS 2 in terms of story. IRIS 2 had better action scenes though, Jang Hyuk is great with his action stuff!
That may be it, but I still give out 10s even if they're not currently airing! Gave 2 10s in a row in October! Warrior Baek Dong Soo and Nine: Nine Times Time Travel, both great, you would probably love Nine! Hah, that's true about chocolate!
I hope you do watch them! Even if you're not into melodramatic plots, you should still watch The Incarnation of Money just for Kang Ji Hwan's hilarious acting!
Yeah Love Rain wasn't that good... The idea was really original, but they ended up messing it up. Would've been better if it was shorter...

Queen of Ambition, The Incarnation of Money, Two Weeks, Shark, 7th Grade Civil Servant, Gu Family Book, IRIS 2... Those are all among my favorites, not just of 2013 but of all time.

Maybe it will, but I'll only know once it's over! It could've been better if I had watched it as it aired, I somehow end up liking airing dramas more than the other ones... I think it's because of the wait!
Sadly not that many people have watched them. Only 437 and 721 people watched QoA and TIOM respectively. They were really unique though. In QoA the female lead is actually the bad guy and TIOM is just... A mix of melodrama and hilariousness from Kang Ji Hwan. Dammit I love Kang Ji Hwan!

Remember that people have different opinions though! Looking at your list, I loved some of the dramas you rated 10, but disliked others...
Cruel City is an action/crime drama where pretty much everyone plays an undercover cop. I found it incredibly boring. It seems one big reason for it to be so loved is the lead guy.
I'm liking it, but will probably "only" give it a 9.
There were some really amazing dramas this year, nothing can be compared with Queen of Ambition and The Incarnation of Money. They had some of the best acting and writing I've seen, both really deep.

Exactly! I liked Big too! There's also 7th Grade Civil Servant that everyone hated, it's on my top 5 though. Or You're Beautiful and Cruel City that everyone loved and I hated...
You were right! It's not much of a romantic comedy though, that's probably why I'm enjoying it so much!

That's good, I never listen to others when they say something is bad. So many of my favorite dramas are said to be horrible, and so many of my least favorites are among the highest rated dramas...

It's ok, not the best Yoon Eun Hye drama, but it's entertaining. Would've most likely liked it better if I had watched it a year ago, as I said before, I'm not that much into romantic comedies nowadays...

Look at my drama list. I don't really have big requirements to watch a drama (or serie for that matter). Sometimes just a name/supporting actor will do. Someone said it was funny because the female lead was a horny chick, that's good enough to give it a try.
Worst case scenario? The drama is horrible and I waste 2 hours a week, that's really not much to me.

It's true! Heirs is pretty damn bad.

Those are only during a certain time of the year though, at least around here... Still, almost no work goes around here :D
