At the beginning I was also confused. I think that when she saw him after a year he opened a restaurant and someone had told her about it. Before when he's cycling, he stops and then back to walk because he think she might not want to talk to him. But then they meet in the restaurant and it's a happy ending. Sorry my bad english :b
