is it just me asking for the dog secretary to have a back story too? as for jin seon mi being plain-faced all…
Because acting isn't just the eyes and if the average person can't see it, then you are clearly failing. Most of us AREN'T supposed to INSPECT the acting, we are supposed to get it naturally. Her emotions is nothing but "sad puppy eyes", "upside down crescent" and "wide eyes" What a variety! Clearly the average people would prefer this over someone like Wa Mwang (note the sarcasm).
Also, people aren't just bothered by the plain face but the behavior that comes with it. If seeing spirits is a "natural" thing then why does she have the naivety of a first timer? She had seen spirits her whole life yet she can't detect when she is in danger from them? She is contradicting your statement.
Furthermore, she is STILL weak with no good defense. How did she survive if she can't help but kill herself everytime she run into a one? If you can't convince the viewer the basic then another bad writing. Another negative, she waited to call the fairy name for 25 years yet, after he gave her back her memories, she RARELY calls him? It reached a point that Son Oh Gong literally had to ask her WHEN will she call for him whenever she is in danger? So stack this all up and it'll not surprise people will dislike her character and her acting.
They would have enjoyed the poker face if she had other redeeming qualities (like Son Oh Gong) but nope, she doesn't therefore easier to target.
Lol, I've been debating the same thing, and on Friday night I decided to watch it as it airs. I'm super excited!!!
It seems like I'll have to follow you because the episode isn't out yet and I don't know how long it will take to sub (I'm assuming quick since it's popular).
But when it comes to adaption... I have to admit they usually disappoint more than satisfy lol so don't get your hopes up.
I saw a few clips of Joy and Dohwan in their interview but omg!!! Totally ship. Ship, ship! They lowkey look like their dating but a part of me is like: "My man Dohwan... I guess we were never meant to be."
I think the writer wanted to end this drama sooner than planned because a few things didn't make sense. Take Moo Yul for an example, he was willing to use the crown prince's illness to de-crown him and put the second prince as his replacement to be king. Yet near the end he said he would rather die then let a low-born, aka the second prince, rule the government like dafuq??? It's like the writer didn't know what to do with him.
As a Park Hae Jin fan... Or was. I WOULDN'T recommend Man to Man. Not only was the drama disappointment but Park Hae Jin performance there was lacking. I didn't feel any satisfaction from watching him act. Something about his character just felt off. Very off-putting.
I dropped him out of my favorite actor list because of that drama. Maybe I was being too harsh so I'll give him another try with Four Men but Man to Man is a no-no.
I think one of his best role is Yoo Jung from Cheese in the Trap. Even though the ending really is meeeeh, I think the fact he is not your standard male lead made him shine a lot. You can't tell what was on his mind so it made him appealing.
It is kind of sad that dramas this year have been so bad. Nothing coming up interests me either.
Try Laughter in Waikiki if you are looking for comedy. If you want a more serious drama, how about Cross? I've heard good things about it but I've yet to see it. Prison Playbook was also good if you could get past episode 1-2 without a hitch.
WHAT THE FUCK IS YUAN BAO DOING? Does his stupid ass really think he is protecting his childhood friend by stealing his soon-to-be wife? That's his plan? That's not protecting, that's called being a conceited asshole! Instead of coming up with such grand scheme, he should have just went with the simplest method. Tell him the TRUTH! Let him DECIDED whether he wants to STILL push for the marriage or DROP it out. Making her your concubine without explanation is just despicable.
I hope this behavior end soon or unless I don't think I'll be able to enjoy the main couple if he continued behaving like the world revolves around him. Like his decision is the ONLY thing that matters.
i think it's gonna be a great show to binge-watch. I'd recommend to wait till it's almost finished ;)
I think it would be better to binge-watch it but I want to have a discussion with the fans. I can't have that if I came from the end T_T because everyone will only be talking about the ending and their overall views.

Exactly, Korean adaption are meh most of time. I enjoyed a few but most just fall short.

I'm liking this comment because of this line.
