I said the same during Start Up (because the direction of the story was heading that way) and asked people to stop expecting too much so they won't be disappointed but they told me I shouldn't tell them what to do LOL what happened? They ended being super disappointed like I didn't warn them. If everyone lower their expectations, no disappointment will happen. Maybe they will be surprised when it exceeds it.

It feels like Vincenzo lost fucks to give these past 3 episodes. The way he is dealing with his enemies is like a madman and the lines... omg the LINES WERE KILLER. The chess and the cat/mouse reference. Badass character in K-drama? Hell yes.

When you put it like that, you are correct and it supports the previous user comment on the fact she did defend JoonHwi by forfeiting. Although from my perspective I viewed it differently. The moment they switched, she wasn't supposed to defend him and rather accuse him. She would see the flaws in her argument and be able to adjust. It also brings the question if the teacher didn't switch them, would she have be able defended properly against the accusation of the prosecutor?

Exactly. There are ups and downs. In this case we have only seen the downs which is why I said the execution is awful when I replied to someone else. That's why her growth seemed to skip.

There is a difference between not being confident and not knowing the answers. In her case, she was able to answer but she kept answering them wrong (either cuz she didn't know or had a different answer that ended up being wrong). Dumb is the wrong choice of words, I admit that.

Of course she have potential. Just know being smart doesn't mean you can pass Law school. Or else nobody would ever fail their class because they are smart enough to be in it. It is common but not in the way they did it. From 29 to 100 (if she didn't submit it late/tear it apart)? If they would do it like this, they should at least show us her improvement along the way not just her bad moments and suddenly she top of the top.

She tried to defend Joon Hwi case but when they asked her to fight against her arguments she couldn't, which doesn't prove much. The point was for the lawyer and prosecutor to go against each other. Prosecutors for the school and lawyer for Joon Hwi so she failed since she was meant to defend the school. Also, the professor giving her tasks again, doesn't prove much. He asked another student to get the glasses and the write something. He wants her to improve and he is always teaching because he sees potential in her. I don't know if you noticed creepy guy was wearing a hat, covering his face. Is she clever? Yes but the way they executed it wasn't.

Joon Hwi's aunt is so selfish and shameless! I'm glad Joon Hwi didn't fall for her guilt trip into giving up the inheritance money.

The romance is vague but I think there will be a couple.

There is a bit of irony but Joon Hwi used him for good purpose. He wanted to save the Prof.'s life while his uncle literally used him to cover his crime of KILLING a kid in a hit, run accident AND lessened the pedophilia's sentence that the child he raped probably recently became an adult or still haven't become an adult. They hardly the same in my book.

Sol A character is throwing me off. First 3 episodes, she is the dumbest student. 4th episode she is the smartest? I do like a well placed character growth but I feel like we skipped the growth part here. I can't say it's realistic to go from BARELY qualified to pass to first place. There is a big gap between those two marks.

The way he executed that! Brutal but well deserved! I was worried the female lead would make him soft but reverted back to his mafia days! Now I'm curious how the series will go from here. There is no turning back now that he killed that guy and half of those guards.

$$ does talk. New adventures isn't bad and I'm sure the dynamic of the characters will be a saving grace. I'm just hoping S2 doesn't turn Vincenzo into an "average" show.

I thought that as well at first but considering how CONSISTENT she is, this isn't bad acting. It's all intentional done.

Yeah, I'm hoping she was just reacting emotional because she loves her mom and that she will slowly realize how messed up her parenting are.

Imagine Vincenzo but with 30+ episodes? It will drag. A lot of stories fit the standard 16 episodes... maybe 20 if it's good but not over 30! It will just be running in circles. I'm curious to see what the writer have in store but I don't think a season 2 will be a good idea unless they focused mostly on romance.
