I have to admit the final episode was disappointing. I was prepared for a bittersweet ending and I get what the writers were trying to do but the reconnection scenes fell flat and felt forced.
This show is clear proof that taste is subjective. I’m honestly enjoying it . It’s one of those shows that…
They have a number of basics in common but both are totally different dramas. I am watching both. I agree with you. 12 episodes is too short to cover everything. The show's trying to do a lot in a very limited time.
OMG I am trying to save episode 8. From the comments, I am guessing the kiss happens in ep 8. I don't want to watch it until eps 9 and 10 are out this weekend but I may not survive tonight. LOL
After four episodes, I am wondering if I will last the distance. The OTT acting is doing my head in. The male lead, while cute, is stiff. Also, I feel icky watching this. LOL Still, this is not exhausting me the way Sky Castle did. I might end up finishing it.
This went straight to my PTW list after seeing who the leads are. Just finished watching episode 1 and I am hooked (for now). I am hoping I will enjoy this until the very end. P.S. That scene at the end made me LOL.
Watched this again. This was really fun, watching a bunch of friends do silly stuff. Takeru's reaction to Ryu's choice for their mode of transport was cute. Kamiki is so adorable and Takeru is very cool.
Wow. Thank you for sharing. You are not alone. I have also fallen into some kind of slump. It's good to know I am not alone and there are many people in a similar situation.
It started in 2021 after COVID has truly taken over the world. My brain couldn't handle the mental overload anymore and there were also other RL stuff which needed more brain space so I was forced to stay away.
Sometime last year, I felt I was ready to head back and resumed watching K-dramas but am still struggling to get into the groove. I finally sat down and watched Squid Game, All of Us Are Dead and Hellbound after the hoopla died down and enjoyed them. I also started others like Business Proposal and SKY Castle (after a very long wait). While I found them to be entertaining, they were not entertaining enough so I dropped them. SKY Castle in particular exhausted me. I don't know if my tastes have changed or I am struggling with 16+ episodes these days but I have become more picky and tend to watch more films. I'll keep trying. I know there are lots of K content which I still find entertaining. I just need to be prepared to drop anything which I don't particularly enjoy.
I was hooked on J-dramas before K-dramas so I resumed watching them too. They are giving me so much more joy at the moment so I will keep watching them until I exhaust my PTW list I think. I am also planning on picking up a handful of C-dramas which look interesting.
Oh this was sooooo good. Bittersweet ending but it was what I was expecting. There was definitely a reason why I was getting The Little Mermaid vibes from the very beginning. At least she didn't die. ;)
I loved how the show was very positive. There were no nasty characters. It was a really feelgood show.
Looking forward to watching the special. I hope it's going to be really good too.
Damn you, Show, for making Ayano Go so swoon-worthy here. He was incredibly swoon-worthy here.
When a family conglomerate had ambitious plans to transform a stretch of untouched natural beach into an urban…
Ayano Go's casting was a surprise but his and Ishihara Satomi's chemistry is wonderful. Whenever they are both onscreen, they light it up. I have only seen the first 6 episodes but I can't stop grinning because of the wholesomeness of the show.
When I first heard Ishihara Satomi and Ayano Go were going to appear in a romcom, it felt like I hit some sort of jackpot. I really like both actors so this was exciting for me.
It took me almost two years to finally get the chance to watch this and three episodes in, I am really enjoying it. He was a surprise choice for a romantic lead but it works. I love watching their chemistry onscreen. Also, the supporting characters are very likable.
Looking forward to finishing this this weekend.
P.S. I love the OST. Also there seems to be hints of The Little Mermaid sprinkled here and there. Hmmm.

Good luck with your C-drama journey.
This special was so lovely, seeing the rest of characters from the show. It was so positive.
