I am hoping that each of the wives can realize their true worth and that their happiness is not defined by any man. I hope when the second wife discovers what her husband has done that she does not repeat her mothers behavior. I also hope she realizes that it’s her husband who has the problem not her. No groveling, no crazy hysterics, no desire for vengeance. No accepting things on his terms but putting on her big girl panties and taking control of her life on her terms.

Season 2? I guess looking at the seedy side of life makes money. Heaven forbid showing couples who can weather the storms of life together.

You know the thing is I grew up around men like these. These were churchgoing , hardworking men who society gave a pass. And the women were shameless. They knew these men were married and had families and just didn’t care. The wives just looked the other way because divorce would put they and their children in an even worse position. I just thought in 2021 there would be a harsher view of this type of behavior.

It was confusing but I think it’s to show how this mess got started. I really don’t get the point. I still feel bad for the wives and the husbands and mistresses seem even worse .

No we haven’t seen where they’ve actually gotten together although there was a call in an earlier episode where someone calls and is apparently having stomach problems and he says he will stop by. Then he calls his wife and makes up some lame excuse. If nothing wrong is going on why wouldn’t he tell his wife a patient called.

I guess you’re right. She’s not some innocent naive teenager. I guess what bothers me is how easy this seems for the two of them. It’s obvious that they will be meeting again. Am I just old fashioned?

Yes who does what he did...walk in going through cabinets, telling you not to go clubbing, who to see, who not to see and she just gleefully replies yes. And she just met him and has given him her whole life history. She was ready. If he had wanted he could have had her right than and there. Both sickos.

I was thinking the same thing. I keep watching because I can’t believe this is set in the 21st century. I keep waiting fir the wives to break out of their emotional prisons. And you are right. This is a sad commentary on men/husbands.

Probably so but I would find that just as repulsive. I think for me I keep watching because I just want these men to be publicly exposed and get some payback. And I hope the wives come out winners. We are halfway through. The tides have got to change. After this I’m going back to watching my BLs.

Me too...you ask how a woman does that with a man she just met. You do it if that’s what you’re used to doing....using your youth and looks to get what you want. She’s not a naive teenager. She knows what she’s doing. This is like reading a trashy novel.

When you lie to your wife and to your fantasy ., when you take a young woman you just met out to dinner and then proceed to take her home all without telling your wife you are cheating and on top of that you give her an expensive gift you are cheating. Some people call it grooming.

At the very least I think Seo ban would be man enough to own his stuff.

And some women are no better...call it low self esteem, insecurity, need for validation, emotional distress, vengeance, economics, whatever...any woman who gets involved with a married man gets no sympathy or respect from me.

Why are they trying so hard to make the youngest wife seem so awful? All three wives deserve better. This was a hot mess. The first husband needs to grow up. That statement that he got a queen and not a wife really riled me. I just hope all three wives get retribution at the end. As for the mistresses and the husbands....I hope they all burn in you know where.

I am hooked on this drama but it’s more out of curiosity and a hope that the wives will come out of it with a better sense of their worth. As of now the husbands and suspected mistresses seem to be unscathed. I’ve seen so many instances where the wives are left bearing the shame as if they did something wrong for being too smart, too aggressive, too docile, too fat, too old, too passionless, too...too...too while the men are given a smack on the hand and told boys will be boys and the mistresses feel if the wife had did what she was supposed to they wouldn’t be needed.

Many wives have did what you suggest. I personally believe two wrongs don’t make a right. Sometimes loving yourself has to be enough until you’re in a position to make that final break. This is why I hope the wives end up with their heads held high.

It’s about the same in the USA regarding men . From my own observation when some men reach 50 they suddenly need validation.

Thanks....I watched Love In the Afternoon...I know it’s the rage now but I’m just not into any more movies with unhappy marriages. I think I was just curious since I was with my husband for 50 years and married over 47 years. There were highs and lows but the day he died we were more in love than ever. Just needed to share that on today. Thank you .
