I just binged the entire series in two days and I have to say it is so good. I like that it kept you on the edge of your seat not knowing everything and only giving little hints each episode. Wish it had another episode or so but it felt like it wrapped up pretty well.
😠dude I don’t think I’m going to like this recast, like Gawin might outshine Krist lol 😂 they just don’t really look like they’re going to mesh well and be a little off balance… I was so looking forward to Mike!
I didn’t completely hate Ga On as a character, but he did get annoying with all his wishy washy-ness. Loved the first couple of episodes though and finale!
So I really love angst, but this show just isn’t it for me. The actors are great but I’m on episode 6 and I feel like everything is just dragging on. The production quality, the acting, everything is great but the story just is lacking to me. Dunno why, I liked the original :(
So I think I’m one of the rare viewers that dislike Mu Ren and Li Cheng. I prefer Xing Si and Yong Jie.
Mu Ren and Li Ching’s storyline felt so forced especially with the female characters. We got so many BL Tropes with that pairing I always found myself skipping their scenes.
I think for Xing Si and Yong Jie, that their relationship was better handled. Like Xing Si doesn’t immediately forgive his brother for what he did and the conversations they had with the family felt genuine. I feel like Yong Jie really understood his brother and that he wanted to go home to his family so he made himself the bad guy and faked the assault.
I remember watching this when it came out and the comments were like … was it faked? Did he fake the assault so he had a reason for his brother to come home? Which makes no reasonable sense for someone to do that, but it worked for this story.
I was screaming at my TV so many times because of how cringey the series was. But I enjoyed Yanase’s character but that was about it. Reminded me of old school Japanese BLs for how cringey it was.
I really enjoyed this show up to around episode 11 I think. I struggled with the final episode because it baffles me that they had the protestors stop the van and rescue the group. That would never happen. I honestly don’t mind the open ended conclusion, that makes sense because if you get rid of Twai there are more corrupt people who will replace him so you have to keep fighting.
But the whole fact they got rescued by the protestors and then just had conversations with the side characters like nothing traumatic happened to them and not panicking over Yok and his injury…. Just don’t understand.
This drama hit home for me. I was Sora when I was a kid and I think this drama accurately portrays what can happen in these situations. I still have issues with the fact Nagisa never found out that the mom hit Sora, but with the limited information Nagisa had, I think he felt he was doing the right thing. And in the end, you feel the great sense of togetherness that they have because of it.
