Person Leo Wu
I rewatched Love Like the Galaxy because I miss him and omg I'll do anything, literally anything to have him and…
They prob won't. Lusi is the only past co-star of Wu Lei's that he avoids in real life. They had a little bit of a fallout after LLTG, and their individual fanbases each dislike the other party. As a Wu Lei fan, I'm fine if they never collaborate again. I'm in favor of him working with those he actually has good working relationships with.

Awww...super sweet of them all to support our Wu Lei. I really would love to go see the film myself, but have no access to it. Seems like a film with some pretty serious acting and deep themes.

Pls do not say that about Wu Lei after one drama of him. In this drama, he's supposed to be an aloof introvert…
So because she hasn't yet accepted him, he shouldn't show interest in a way that makes it clear he's interested in her? And you'll have to remind me what episode it is that he refers to her as his girlfriend before she was, because the only girlfriend line I remember is from an episode where people were like "your girlfriend" and Lin Yiyang responded by saying "She's not my girlfriend. Not yet." Lin Yiyang is the greenest of green flags, really patient, and he respects her enough to go at her pace. If you think someone being romantic and being forthright enough to show clear interest to a woman who happens to also be interested in him is creepy, then I don't know what to say except that maybe romance isn't really your thing. Most women would be happy to see someone they really like showing clear, obvious interest back.

It's only creepy if Yin Guo isn't interested in him, and it's clear as day the moment he dropped her and her cousin off at the hotel in EP1 that she was also interested in him. So, yeah, I don't agree with your view. I'm also not sure what you mean by saying that Yi Yang started acting like Yin Guo was his girlfriend before she was. In what way? All I saw was him expressing interest in her. How else is she supposed to know that he's interested in her if he's not showing interest?

Ashile Sun and Li Changge is my favorite CP of all time as well. I absolutely love their relationship: the various…
1,000%. Ashile Sun is the greenest of green flags when it comes to costume drama male leads. He's so likable, nearly flawless. Yes, he and Changge are both intelligent, decisive, and capable individuals who can initiate change to the world around them, and they're even stronger together as a duo.

how much of the plot is romance? i tried watching it a while ago and dropped it quickly because the romance didn't…
If you're looking for a drama with the romance plot being the central plot, TLB isn't it. It has love stories, yes, but it's a much more balanced drama that covers many topics outside of romance(war, revenge, peace, forgiveness, love for one's people/country, politics) and various relationships(romance, bromance, sisterhood, brotherhood, family ties, enemies to allies). A large part of the drama is about learning, bettering yourself, understanding others, and character growth. Many characters redeem themselves in this drama. This is actually one of the most impressive aspects of TLB.

Ashile Sun and Li Changge is my favorite CP of all time as well. I absolutely love their relationship: the various natural dynamics of it, the healthiness despite the two being enemies, the beautiful chemistry, etc. I like that there is strong foundation and real substance to their relationship(understanding, admiration, trust, belief, respect, equality, inspiration, similar world-views) that draw them to each other. Their relationship doesn't just hinge on the idea that they like/lust after each other.

Only 8 episodes in and I am really enjoying this drama. I will say however that Leo Wu appears (so far at least)…
Pls do not say that about Wu Lei after one drama of him. In this drama, he's supposed to be an aloof introvert who isn't good with expressing himself. I mean, how many different ways is an introvert supposed to express himself and still be an introvert? Wu Lei is a sunny, cheerful, funny, down to earth extrovert in real life but he is totally convincing as a cold, aloof introvert, thanks to his mad skills. He's an actor who has been acting since he was, like, 4. He has 20 years of acting with prob more than 80 roles under his belt. He has won or been nominated for serious acting awards, even as a child. If you check out his projects, you will see just how versatile he is as an actor(playing cold, aloof, awkward characters like Lin Yiyang here in this drama to sassy, funny, extroverted, super down to earth characters in other dramas/films). When people claim that his acting skills are limited, my first thought is that they really have not seen anything else from him. Even in just this drama alone, I do not know of any other actors who can express love with just their eyes in such a convincing way as Wu Lei can.

It was indeed a long ballad, with extended episodes that could be cut, the death of some characters for character…
I actually haven't watched Dilraba anywhere else other than The Long Ballad, so I can't speak for any of her other dramas, but what I can say is that she was fantastic as Changge, and portrayed the various aspects of her character's personality very well.

Probably not as much as there could be, if you're a fan of them. It was just right for me, since I watched this…
I don't get the hype either. They were honestly the most uninteresting part of the drama for me. Their bland interactions and the combination of their personalities didn't work for me. And, unlike A'Sun and Changge, I felt like Leyan and Hao Du just didn't really have a proper foundation for their relationship either. Well, it's Lusi, and she has a pretty vocal fanbase. Her only real significance in the story was the love between herself and Hao Du, so I guess they have to hype her up somewhere.

Ashile Tribe is not Uyghur(though the Uyghurs do speak a Turkic language and is considered a Turkic ethnic group). Ashile(or Ashina) is actually Gokturk, the founding dynasty of the Turkic Empire. By 626AD, which is the time frame when Li Shimin kills Li Jiancheng to become the new Crown Prince of Tang, the Turkic Empire had split into two: the Western and Eastern Khaganates, and Ashina Sun is supposed to be a general of the Eastern Turkic Khaganate, which Ashina Tribe is a part of. Pusa, King of Mobei, however, is indeed Uyghur...and according to the manhua, is Changge's uncle from her mother's side of the family, so, yes, Changge is supposed to be half Uyghur. A'Sun, in the manhua, is actually a long lost prince of Khitan(I heard that Khitan people were actually of mongol ethnicity). In the drama, however, they decided to change A'Sun's backstory so that he is Han. Apparently, he was originally from the Great Plains(a reference to the Han Chinese) but was found and fostered by Great Khan.

How much screen time does lusi and liu yu ning have? I want to start this but I’m only interested in them so…
Probably not as much as there could be, if you're a fan of them. It was just right for me, since I watched this drama for the original purpose of the manhua, and not for them(didn't care for them much, personally). Their two characters are pretty disjointed from the main plot of the story(war between Tang and the Eastern Turkic Khaganate), tbh, so they disappeared for chunks of the drama at a time during the first half of the drama. In the second half, they were given a little more screen time in order to develop their relationship.

it's unnecessary long and lost it's credibility a long the way but I don't remember the when, there's a lot of…
Which scenes were unrequired though? Because the reason I love this drama so much is because I felt there was pretty much no fillers. Just about every scene had a purpose in either advancing the plot, character building, or relationship building.

product placements are so funny lol bro is supposed to be broke af in a fucking loewe t-shirt?
A loewe t-shirt is prob overkill...but I don't think he's "broke af". He loans money to others, purchased a pool hall, and has more money than the FL character when he showed her his bank accounts.

In what way? I don't know who Hong Suzu is, but looking at her profile and seeing that she's a newbie and people…
Explain what similarities they share then? Because I just pointed out how different the two are. Wu Lei, as I said, has 20 years of acting experience and has won and/or been nominated for serious acting awards. He's not a newbie like the actress you pointed out. He's also a very versatile actor with a wide range of acting ability, and that would be totally obvious if you've seen his other works. He doesn't have just one facial expression the way you're implying. They're pretty much the complete opposite of each other, so pls explain how one reminds you of the other? And by saying that you love him but he reminds you of a horrible actress, are you saying that you love actors/actresses with horrible acting? I'm trying to make sense of what you're saying.

What is Leo Wu working on currently? He has to be in very high demand right now.
A few months ago, he filmed a movie called "Decent Things", and more recently, he just finished or should be finishing up with filming a drama, but it's a drama that's being kept in the dark, so they're not saying much about it at the moment. Wu Lei also has a film called "Dwelling by the West Lake" that is releasing on April 3rd, so he has been doing a lot of promotions for this film. Think he was on a tour for it just recently. I'm not sure what he has lined up next in the immediate future but, if he just wanted to keep adding onto his list of projects, I'm sure his work would be neverending. I hear that he's quite particular about choosing projects, though, because he has his own studio and has free reigns with picking his scripts. Also, Wu Lei wants to be a serious actor, not just an idol star, so he likes mixing in projects and films that are much, much more serious-themed(such as "Dwelling by the West Lake" that's releasing in a few days here).

I love Leo Wu but he reminds me of Hong Suzu TT.TT
In what way? I don't know who Hong Suzu is, but looking at her profile and seeing that she's a newbie and people claiming that she can't act, I can't help but laugh at your implications. Despite his age, Leo Wu Lei has 20 years of acting experience with probably more than 80 roles under his belt, and he's super versatile. He's already won serious acting awards even just as a child, and can pull off introverted, stoic, and aloof characters like Lin Yiyang(or Ashile Sun and Ling Buyi) where he's expressing through his eyes...or he can be super extroverted, very natural, funny, sassy, and down to earth. Maybe check out his other projects too(for example: Crossfire, Our times 2021, Battle Through the Heavens, Upcoming Summer, Tomb of the Sea. etc, etc,) if you want to know his acting range so you don't end up making silly comparisons.

If you're feeling so bored that you have to drop it multiple times, then don't watch it. I don't get the hype for some shows that people hype about either, but I realize that different people enjoy different things. Yes, they are walking around, sightseeing, and eating...but that's how they're bonding and getting to know each other in a foreign place the female lead character isn't familiar with. It's a slice-of-life type drama, totally relatable and realistic to everyday life. If you need exaggerated chaos and drama to keep you interested, then this one isn't for you.

Like Road Home, it gets a little boring and drawn out, with no real conflict or big bad, but it was a cute drama.…
I couldn't disagree more. Leo Wu Lei is so handsome and awesome in costume dramas. He's talented with horses, has good form, and is athletic...perfectly suited for martial arts/action scenes. Not putting him in costume dramas where he can show off all his skills would seriously be a waste of a good chunk of his talent. If you're trying to argue that Ashile Sun and LBY don't look good, that'll be a losing argument. He has done two modern dramas in the past two years so I'm waiting for more historical, costume projects from him.
