Not so similar to W. the only thing which is smilar to "w" Is entering in the novel and falling for the lead but ML is not only a novel character as he is also in original world. As for romance you are asking, I say pretty good bickering/love-hate relationship is on for now. FL is such a powerful character in this drama, not like those stereotype FL'S who are too pure, innocent and out of world sweet and kind. It has been shown in the drama that a simple girl can also find a way to become FL. AND PLEASE DON'T WATCH IF YOU DON'T LIKE SECOND LEAD SYNDROME. IT IS THE MAJOR ISSUE IN THIS DRAMA.
I think you are somewhat wrong about chuchu, she is not FL. In the beginning, she is shown as FL but now that place is taken by Xiao'En and I think in the upcoming episodes she will be female antagonist. like she will behave innocent in front of others and do bad things behind everyones back. And also she has pretty much scenes.
