I like how three of the first four tags for this dorama are: Death Of A Sibling, Death Of A Mother & Death Of A Fiancé. Gotta lay it down heavy just in case! XD
Liked this. Overall 9/10. The acting was SO on point I forgot they were fictional characters. ^^ But be warned it is slow-paced so if that's not the kind you're into then just don't even start- This isn't meant to be action packed just a story told as it is.
Dude Gen Hoshino is in the first episode as just some random passerby... (^艸^) I feel like lately I've spotted a lot of famous actors way before they made it. ^^
i would agree with you if we're talking about the ending. Kdramas like to always do those annoying time jump endings.
Yeah, I know what you mean but it wasn't just the plot I was talking about... It's like they angles they used? or the camera? I don't know but the first few scenes were shot the same way short kdramas are. It wasn't the whole drama just a few moment here and there. But yeah it's a known fact the film industry likes to borrow plots from other countries and change them a tiiii-ny bit. And now that you mentioned it, damn I do miss the jdramas from early 2000 and before. Sure they were cringey but the plot ran so much deeper and they were dark! Now it's all just comedy or they rarely go into the darker side of like the relationships and such. I miss that. I mean why do they like 90% of the time forgive the bad guys? It's not realistic! (ಥ﹏ಥ);

Yeah, but also in the very beginning... The way it was filmed as well as the plot. I mean a second generation chaebol with family problems falls in love with a girl he shouldn't? Classic. o(≧▽≦)o
Oh my... This was so long ago that I can't remember for sure anymore but you can find an SP on dailymotion if you google the Japanese original name with SP written after it, but it's without English subtitles. I understand Japanese so I don't really need subs anymore. Sorry I can't be of much help. I'll definitely comment it if I find it anywhere else!
How have I missed this?! Can't believe I only just found this even though it was released in 2019!!! And ofc I binge watched the whole series until 4am... Totally worth it <3
The tv series they were watching definitely put a smile on my face. I don't know if it was on purpose but the pink hair on the guy... I felt like the comments Yokohama Ryusei said about him, he said to himself XD (He played a pink haired ML in Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi)
They really filmed this almost exactly like its predecessor Always... I feel like they could have had a bit more freedom. You could see it on the acting. The actors were definitely imitating and not really acting as they would have otherwise. Loved the story and the BTS ost~ Now, I feel all fluffy inside...
Hallelujah! In the literal sense... What an episode! Finally, FINALLY we are here. Waited for this reveal for forever. Now I'm just curious about what will happen in the next 6 episodes.
Was super excited to watch because of Bo Gum and Gong Yoo, and their acting didn't disappoint. I love how their…
Yeah totally agree. The movie had great promise but somehow ended up lacking. Maybe this would have been better as a drama? More time for character development and plot?
I felt a bit disappointed by this... I suppose I expected a little more depth in this? Anyway, the movie was good and shot really well. Perfect CGI and action sequences. A good watch if bored but it is rather mellow compared to what it could have been. Still recommend this. Such mixed feelings (❛‿❛ ` )
Plot hole: How are Jung Woo and Jae Woong still alive at the end with their brain lesions? Didn't they kind rush…
Hmm... I think this is more of those off screen things- There was the weird blue liquid/injection that supposedly was made to minimize the symptoms of the drug they were injecting the children. In the first shot of it when Jun Woo found the used syringe, it was empty but later when it was injected again into the unconscious Jae Woongs drip, so, it's most likely Jung Woo analyzed the leftover drug from the syringe and synthesized it again probably tweaking it a bit (he was after all a genius). Sounds far fetched but most likely. It's what I would've written if I was the screen writer unfortunately there's only so many minutes in 16 episodes.
The remade drug probably treated the underlying cause of the lesions. Obviously they weren't born with them so either all of them received trauma to the head or it was caused by the tests and drugs they were given as children. If so then I wouldn't say it's impossible to negate some of the side effects.
Also there's a scene where Jung Woo asks no.99 (the 4th surviving child) how he feels to which he answers: "Better" and that's when I imagine he'd taken his dosage. Also all they mentioned about Jung Woo was that he could have a cerebral artery dissection which is a tear in the lining of an artery so not exactly the same thing. But this too is treatable with surgery to correct underlying abnormality that caused it, meds such as simple aspiring can be a possible treatment too to prevent strokes, sometimes they even go away on their own. But they called him terminal so I don't know how bad his case was.
+ There are different kinds of lesions some are bad other aren't. Jamie had surgery so maybe Jae Woong did too after he was incarcerated? They were pretty much superhuman so let your imagination run wild.
But be warned it is slow-paced so if that's not the kind you're into then just don't even start-
