Uk is literally me, love gets him depressed easily and he is really emotional, Uk why are we so similar

Exactly where I see the story going, I see him as an anakin character, it is possible that Uk father didn't want his energy gate opened, not being of the whole king thing, but because he looked into the future and saw that that Uk might bring about a great chaos if his energy gate is opened

How can people call this a filler episode? SOO much information was given to us, the same people who skip scenes because they think it is a filler, are the same people who are lost about the plot and then call the drama trash when they don't understand what is happening. Like is no one seeing how this is leading up to a civil war between the great houses? you saw how many important people were in on the secret of the alchemy of souls, that scene basically confirmed this. We found out more about the power of the ice stone, it can bring people back to life, also it can shift between elements, we also found out that the king's star doesnt just signify when a king is born but also when a person who will solve a great chaos is also born, this can further lead to the revelation that Uk might not be the king's son, but instead the star might've signify that he was going to solve the great chaos. Also hemp master said that Uk star was different from Master Seo's star, hemp master said Uk's star might fade away or shine brighter, it is possible that Uk might side with the villains because they have the ice stone and they might have a way to keep Naksu from dying and so he will side with them to keep Naksu alive, might also be why Naksu said that he now has a weakness bc he loves her. The side plots are also important because for one it seems that Jin and Songrim are going to fight each other, the daughter of Jin and the heir to songrim start dating in this episode, this will further complicate things. We also learn more about the power between the jades that Naksu and Uk possess, it is possible that when they are together, their power increases. This is a world building fantasy drama, these extra plots build up the story and every dialogue is important.

These side parts are so important to the story though, I remember everyone calling the side plots in scarlet heart unnecessary and boring but in the end those side plots ended up making the story even more impactful, they're vital to the story, people just don't know how to appreciate world building nowadays

Most people care about the side love plots though, you can't treat this drama like a normal kdrama, it is a world building fantasy drama, its like saying game of thrones should only have 12 episodes when in fact it needed more than 8 seasons, yeah maybe they should add more info but its half way through the season, literally all kdrama slow down in the middle

I have the same thoughts too, I doubt Naksu was ever in love with him, to me it seemed like a one sided love as Naksu never really reciprocated feelings for Yul

Im 100% confident its Naksu tbh, bc Uk fell in love with the personality/soul which belongs to Naksu, not Mudeok's body, in fact during their first meeting Uk said that he loves her eyes but doesnt like the rest of her body, the eyes belong to Naksu since the real Mudeok is blind, the body belongs to Mudeok and the body is the part that Uk doesn't like

Does anyone else just find it cute how when Uk got jealous of Mudeok/Naksu helping Yul cook, he just went up to her and straight up told her that he is supposed to be her only one and that she can't give anyone else attention and then Mudeok/Naksu told him he was being possessive, and Uk was like "thats right, I am possessive" and she just kinda accepted it, like you could see that they love each other already but just dont say it, ughhh soooo cute!!

Idk why but I feel like the real mudeok is evil for some reason and there will be a fight for the body of mudeok between Naksu and Mudeok, we learn that they are both very powerful so yeah

I like this theory, I think it is possible, Im just sad that So Min might not be in season 2 because I like her, we never know though

I kinda posted this theory somewhere else but basically the eyes don't belong to Mudeok, they belong to Naksu, the body is Mudeok but the eyes are Naksu, this is further supported by the fact that the real Mudeok is blind, notice how the only thing Uk ever compliments is Naksu/Mudeok eyes, he always calls them pretty, also when a soul shifts into a body, a blue mark appears near the heart because the heart is the window to the soul, but in Mudeok/Naksu case, the blue mark is in her eyes, meaning that the eyes are the window to Naksu's soul, in a way when Uk says that Mudeok/Naksu eyes are pretty, he is calling Naksu's soul pretty

Oh God please dont remind me of the terrible ending that "Big" had, honestly I was worried for Alchemy of Souls because the Hong sister also wrote "Big" and they basically poured gasoline on the whole body swapping thing and burned it to the ground, they have other good dramas under their belt but "Big" was a huge disaster, hopefully they learned from that though

Isn’t there an age gap between Naksu and Uk? Bc Naksu was around 8 I’m guessing when her dad turned into a soul shifter and her family died and Uk’s dad was there so that means Uk wasn’t born yet bc Uk’s dad left right after Uk was born (I love noona romances)

Im all for everyone's theories tbh, I love hearing them because we all interpret things differently so I love seeing people throw out ideas, I love discussions, as long as everyone is friendly

OMG imagine if Naksu gets her body back but Uk is confused about who he fell in love with and tells Naksu that he isn't sure if he fell in love with her or Mudeok, then a fight happens and Naksu protects Uk but is injured and as she lays dying in Uk's arms, Uk looks into her eyes and realizes that Naksu was the one he loved all along and his final words to her are "your eyes are still pretty"
