It might be referencing the flooding of Sayo town (specifically, Kuzaki district) in Hyogo prefecture in August 2009 (10 years before the events of the drama). They are filming it in 4K HD format, and it takes more time and resources, so they decided to make less episodes. Before that asadoras aired from Monday til Saturday, but from now on they will air from Monday til Friday with a recap on Saturday.
