I think kisskh should add an additional tag : family . This is a family drama. FML values her family and has a tight relationship. ML comes from a broken family , who hasn’t got anyone to rely on. It’s about social classes, problems you encounter when two people of different classes fall in love. Their families are involved, it’s not just simple being together.
As for MCH mother. If she annoys you that means she’s doing a great job 👏🏻 Great acting!

In China when you get married it’s not just the two of you but involves the two families. You are marrying him/her and the family. Often you will live with you in laws. Iam on ep 5 now and I think it’s a great story. The pace is good. MCH is in love with XJL and they both want to get married. YZM is scheming and MCH superior . If you expect a love story at this early stage that’s impossible. The main focus is family relationship .
