I know we are all starting to dislike the Prime minister but I doubt he was the one that released that information(the contract) to the press. I have a theory that one of the rough work of their contract was found.
Did we need the personal assistants romantic side plot ? It’s cringe AF.
I don’t understand people that watch kdrama and don’t realize it’s the cringe factor that brought people to start watching it. I think kdrama is not for you lots
This show is so on brand with the old Kdramas. I’ve loved all six episodes so far. The show really gives off early K-drama vibes. I stepped away from K-dramas after Lovely Runner and Queen of Tears because they started to lose what drew me in originally. Perfect Crown feels like a throwback to the kind of dramas I used to love. If some people aren’t into it, I think it might be because they didn’t start watching K-dramas around 2013 or 2014.
my theory :the baby king will still end up as king in the end. prince ian and huiju will get married and leave…
I think the point of him wanting to be King is to allow his nephew have a childhood, so it is inevitable. I feel there would be a backstory of his brother asking him do it
I’ve noticed some people have made it their mission to hate on this show every single weekend, and it’s honestly exhausting. Can we just exist in a little delulu land for a moment and enjoy things for what they are?
K-dramas have rarely been fully realistic, that’s part of their charm and why so many of us fell in love with them in the first place. Suddenly, that same style is a problem? Meanwhile, C-dramas keep thriving because they’re not constantly shaped by Western expectations. Perfect Crown feels like a breath of fresh air, it honestly takes me back to the 2014/2015 era.
If you don’t like the show, that’s completely fine. But turning dislike into a weekly mission to tear it down is unnecessary.
Honestly, nothing about this drama feels right. The character writing, their motivations, the directing especially…
This is K-drama we’re talking about, not some generic foreign show trying to follow another country’s formula. They rarely go the fully realistic route, that’s part of what drew many of us in the first place.
Maybe we should stop trying to force Western standards onto K-dramas and just enjoy a good story for what it is. This is also the first script from a young writer, how about giving her some credit instead of criticizing it every Friday and Saturday?
